    Dude... cant wait for the next upgrades / installs... that gas strut for the rear door looks like a must have upgrade for sure. Imagine kitting your entire interior out with Dynamat... 'sounds' like a good idea? Love the video series... can't wait for the next video.

    Thanks Grant! As soon as I can I’m going to be bolting a lot more useful and functional upgrades to the old defender. Thanks for the comment.

    Agree on the undercoating. I did my 130 earlier this year and made a film of it.

    Excellent stuff! I have the Raptor binnacle in my '99 TD5 and it's a decent bit of kit. It was a little faffy to get the warning light cluster to fit and also I'm puzzled as to why they didnt cut the side wings to accept the illuminated heater control inserts, but just supply stickers.
    I added the Mudstuff centre console too and upgraded all my switches to Carling ones as the LR ones are janky as heck.
    Fitting the gas strut up high makes more sense, mine is picks up on the bottom as I don't recall there being any alternatives back when I did it. The fulcrum point on it tends to bend the strut when opening as it's too close to the frame.
    A couple of affordable upgrades I've done are adding power outlet pods to either side of the cubby box for rear seat passengers, with USB and accessory sockets and also adjustable reading lights (Osram Onyx Copilot) to the upper trim panels for all passenger seats. They have inbuilt switches, but I also included a master switch on the centre console should anyone fall asleep!
    Fitted to the centre console, I added a couple of RAM mount bases ( I used the 293u button type, but you could just use the 1" balls) which then allow for RAM (or similar) 1" ball accessory mounts, such as wireless charging cradles (I foolishly bought the un14wb-v7m-1 which is way overpriced, a £30 ebay one is as good) or GoPros to be fitted.
    There's so many jobs still to do, always a work in progress...
    Keep on tinkering!

    The main thing that puts me off the Land rover which may seem silly is the lack of room at the wheel. No where to rest my arm makes it seem uncomfortable to drive. Is there any ways to fix this or would i just have to get over it

      Mufstuff Uk makes a nice arm rest that works with the window open

      The strange thing is that you will not notice it after a few weeks of driving, I thought I would never get used to it, but now it feels normal?

    Nice Landy! Just curious whether the Bull Bar is aftermarket or not and what's the part number?

    • @DaleReubin
      @DaleReubin  Год назад +1

      Thank you. From what I know, which could be incorrect, they were sold with that particular bull bar for the South African market. I don’t know the part number but I can always find out.

    Lof clutch spring, lighten the pedal😉

    • @DaleReubin
      @DaleReubin  Год назад +1

      I actually looked at that as one of the upgrades to include in the video. But decided it’d do a whole separate video about replacing the master cylinder and adding the lof spring. Thanks so much for the comment 🤙🏼

      @453421abcdefg12345 5 месяцев назад

      If you fit the LOF master clutch it is a good idea to change the slave cylinder as well, and the hose, I also fitted the spring pedal return at the same time, it all works so much better than a standard system.
