The WonderFest “Amazing” Model Contest is focused on all types of science-fiction, horror and comics models. It’s the biggest contest of its type in America, and it’s fun to look at even if you don’t build models yourself! The show also features how-to demos (figures, vehicles, painting, etc.), a movie with commentary from the guest associated with the movie as well as Q & A's with guests. Past guest have included such greats as Ray Harryhausen, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, Bob Burns, D.C. Fontana, Bernie Wrightson, Greg Nicotero, Yvonne Craig, Lee Merriwether, Marta Kristen, Erin Gray, Caroline Munro, Denise Crosby, Veronica & Angelea Cartwright, Lou Ferrigno, Sybil Danning, and Linda Harrison. William Stout is usually there every year. You never know who'll show up. The nice thing about this con is that they have very few guests at one time so you actually get to talk to them rather than just get an autograph, say hello, and march along. You can check it out yourself next year on June 10th and 11th!
