Hi Dana. Super helpful videos. I have two questions: I get the the point where I need to select the outdoor unit I am connecting to (Data label file). The drop down menu is so long and I do not see the exact model unit (RXYQ168TATJU and RXYQ168TTJU), so I do not know what to select. How do I make sure I cam selecting the correct option if they don't list full model numbers? Also, where can I download the PC software to view a the data collected on my computer?
There are a lot of options to choose from but those models should populate somewhere on the list. Usually for 3 phase units I use service checker rather than dchecker. Just my preference though. Once you've recorded you can get the pc software from your vendor or from daikin directly.

On my unit I don't see in the outdoor unit or service manual that there is a S2 connection. Any help is really appreciated.

I usually just let mine dangle since the cable length is limited on the Bluetooth dchecker version. It's hit and miss I've had units with no connection issues and some that just won't connect it seems like. Good news is the number of units that struggle to connect is very few at least for me.
Any Chance you might work on a setup video for the Wired PC version of the D-Checker? I still have some customers wanting this option as it's more robust than the Bluetooth version.

Dana I’m having the same issue supply house sent me two part numbers one seems to be the plug in style which is pretty expensive the other looks like the bluetooth style checker that Bluetooth one is all I need and it’s the small square one that says wireless adapter that should sync right to my phone right
They are not usually sold retail you need to purchase through a contractor who is willing to sell one to you. They must buy them from their supply house. Most supply houses don't sell to the public though only to professional contractors via wholesale so you probably are best having a contractor buy you one.
The indoor unit is a FXMQ54PBVJU, Outdoor is a RXYQ120XATJ. I am using the T1/T2 for the smoke. I am comparing the output voltages on T1/T2 and P1/P2 on the fan coil that is operating and the fan coil that is not operating. So if the wire was shorted it would prevent measuring an output voltage on P1/P2 at the terminal block?
Right so if p1p2 has a short between the indoor and stat example a screw through sheet rock, then you wouldn't see any voltage on p1p2. That happens a lot. I'll just grab a short wire plug into p1p2 by itself and plug in a stat. You can also just pull the wire off p1p2 and the voltage should come back. I also saw recently an issue where someone was trying to tie in smokies to t1t2 on multiple units (via 1 smokie) and it was killing the communication. We pulled smokies off t1t2 and voltage came right back to p1p2 so I have no idea if that's the issue but something to consider testing. Process of elimination 👍
Once you select outdoor model and go into the Data the indoor data is on the indoor tab. If you don't see it, it's possible you selected the wrong outdoor model. Make sure they match.
You can reach out to your daikin supplier. They should stock them. They may require a short training before you can purchase it though I'm not sure every vendor has their own rules.
Hello Dana Is there any way to reset the D checker tool. The thing won't connect and just stays blinking. My phone will says paired but I can't get it to do anything. Checked the plugs and even restarted the outdoor unit. Only thing that I can do is open the 3 lines tab and exit the app. Any ideas?
if it's a mini split try turning on the indoor unit to get the system running. i've seen in some cases it will not talk until the system is talking. kinda weird i know... in some cases other apps and wifi can interfere too. if you think that's happening kill the apps and turn off wifi. also make sure you are connecting to the d checker within the app itself, not just on your phone's bluetooth. hope this helps!
Thanks for the info. I did try most of that. I will look to see if any other apps are running at the same time. Also on my app it doesn't show the little search eye glass like on your video. Literally all I can see is the tabs on the bottom also the play and record button don't even light up. I have a new checker coming in my supplier said I can try another and see what happens.
@@jasongeorge125 make sure you set all the menu info first. The 3 lines on bottom or top left depending if you have a Droid or apple. You have to set company and service person before record button lights up. Once you click the record button it'll walk you yhrough each step and that's when you can connect the app to the d checker.
The app crashed? It happens from time to time. Try re opening the app and going back in again. Close out of other apps, make sure wifi is turned off, that sort of stuff, to help prevent any interrupting.

Are you familiar with Daikin’s SRT to Tool where the Bluetooth service checker connects right to the box and it connects to the Daikin that work? If so I’d like to see a video on that because I can’t get that want to record

I have had issues connecting with a vrv 3.
I moved the device away from the board and had much better success connecting.

I am not seeing the indoor unit on the D checker the outdoor model RXYO120PETJ , what to Select for this model on the D checker.
Once you select outdoor model and go into the Data the indoor data is on the indoor tab. If you don't see it, it's possible you selected the wrong outdoor model. Make sure they match.

Could be a plethora of things. You hook up dchecker lite to see performance? Inspect line length and charge and how the line set is mounted/bracketed?
