The answer to the quiz is the button "mode", great video sir. I have a question, when I start the test what do you mean I have to switch off the stats and the controllers? What are those? Sorry if it's a silly question I'm trying to become a technician and I'm only a few months in the business so I don't know much.
Goodday Is there a pump down setting for the vrv3 ? I have to relocate an evaporator but the system wasn't installed with any shut off valves on the line set . I'm thinking to do a regular pump down but I'm seeking advice before I move forward with that decision.
2 options. 1. You can put the system in recovery mode which opens all the valves so you can recover the charge. Do the relocation, re pressure test and evacuate, then recharge. Then turn off recovery mode. 2. You can run it in cooling, 5 minutes in close liquid stop valve at outdoor unit, it pulls the refer into the outdoor, 5 minutes of that then close gas valve and shut off. You may trip the compressor due to pressure and this is NOT the recommended method, so you would be best to use method 1 above. Method 1 also ensures the system is properly charged in the end.
@@InverterAlways thanks for the timely response love the content you provide. To be safe I'll go with option one as vrv parts aren't cheap wouldn't want unnecessary issues because I was trying not to walk with extra equipment.
Thanks for the great videos ....question once you change a setting do you need go back in to change it back..? In the video you showed you changed setting 5 for force fan but never went back to into it to take it out. Thanks
Vrvs and vrviii systems shuts forced fan off automatically when you escape mode 2 menu. On vrv4 and later 3 phase models you will need to go back in to turn it back off.
I'm working on a walk in cold room and was told that the other engineers from a different company charge R404a near the txv near the evaporate as I would think it would put gas into the evaporate. This I think is wrong. Please advise
I believe you're just referring to adding refrigerant on the low side of the system. Daikin uses r410a though not 404, daikin also uses r32. And at least in the USA we don't have cold room Refrigeration through daikin available. Might be something available through daikin applied or overseas so you would be best to check with them for how they want their systems charged for that application.
Capacity jumpers are for when you swap out an indoor board. The replacement boards are all blank so the jumper tells the board what size the unit is. Be careful, you cannot just make one size a new size by using a different jumper. Lots of folks try this and depending on indoor style there is a little wiggle room here but in most cases the unit will error code if it's not the right jumper. It knows!!! Lol
Unfortunately no. It's a factory setting that really not supposed to be changed by anyone. A few leaks here and there over the years but we are sworn to secrecy. Let's put it this way, if there's a reason you need it Daikin would be on site making the changes themselves. Sorry I can't share more there are some things I am simply not allowed to talk about. This is one of those things.
Great, thanks for sharing... please make more such vedioes...Ans for the question...Mode button.

You want to make sure the stats are off. If they get turned on (on/off button) they will alarm if the self test hasn't completed yet.

Sir what is the significance, and how to use
capacity setting adaptor
