We have installed quite a few Daikin VRVs. Daikin tech support, hands down, is the worst in the industry. Up to an hour on hold to get a "dispatcher" who creates a service order, then Daikin will call you back when they feel like it. You generally aren't on site when the call comes in. We had 14 ceiling cassettes going into thermo off mode and were blowing 11 deltas even though we had the fans set to turn off during thermo off. According to the five days of training I went through on VRVs, if the controller lets you do it, the equipment is capable of it. Come to find out, after bouncing back and forth with Daikin and the distributor for a week or two and forcing Daikin to verify with their engineers, the firmware in the controllers or cassettes had a flaw which allowed us to set the fans to off during thermo off even though the cassettes weren't capable of it. Goodman and Daikin....not a fan

"if the controller lets you do it, the equipment is capable of it" ... lol, reminds me of my dad's old 6-cyl pickup. Speedometer went all the way up to 110 but truck couldn't get past 70.

So I was told, the system shuts down when an indoor loses power to stop any floodback issues if the EEV is open. Not sure how much truth there is to that mind...
I've used the Fujitsu laptop tool and like the LG you mentioned it's layed out in graphic form, much easier to visualise.

You need to address your unit fist so you can't get confused ( airnet and group address). Each outdoor unit is represented with two icons and the extra one that you have is called the target. The 264 f represent a missing value from the controller sensor, I am thinking that you have one controller for a group of units or no controller except one that was giving you 75F. You need to change the field settings also. If you need help let me know.

These are installed by another crew and then commissioned by the local Daikin vendor.
It's all said and done when I get here.
I can't remember now if this was the day that I was there to remove a fan coil or to diagnose something else.
I did get a little more familiar with the service checker software since this day and now I realize that the unit label numbers in the data screen don't match the actual unit number. (lame!).
All in all Daikin seems to suck compared to LG, Mitsu etc.
The most pathetic issue is the random blowing of fuses at the indoor FCU's causing the entire system to go off because it can't communicate to one FCU. It has happened at multiple job sites and multiple times each (never to the same one twice, however).
Man that is a stupid design that losing comm to one FCU causes all units on that system to loose cooling/heating.
The Daikin rep said that if it was a major failure in a FCU and I need to get the rest of the system running, I need to let it scan and address the units again. :-/

@@hackfreehvac what is the model number on the units that you keep blowing the fuses. I have been working on daikin for the last nine years never seen the indoor units blowing fuses. Please let me know what is the model number. LG and Mitsubishi have the same problem they will lose the com but it take longer. On the vrv 4 you have a field setting that will allow the outdoor unit to ignore the U4 error "com error for 24 h"

      .6 RLA motor. 15 amp fuses 208V
      Happened at two sites now.
What I am guessing is that perhaps each time the power is switched (perhaps multiple times during construction and start up) that the inrush current to charge the capacitors takes a toll on the fuses.
And perhaps the fuses just suck.
I have not had to go back on the same unit twice yet. It's been a different Fan Coil each time.
The sucky part is still the loss of every office room on the system just because 1 fan coil stops communicating.
The end users just shake their head.

Hey, I ran into your video, I'm having a U4 error inside, which indicates a communication error, and then at the outdoor unit I have triple 0 blinking on the display. I don't see a problem with the comm wire. Do you know what the triple 0 blinking in the led display means? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

      For Friedrich or Daikin?
We had Daikin training in Phoenix about 2 or 3 years ago.
The Friedrich tech support guy came to our shop and did a few hour training course last year.
With the Friedrich unit you just pull out that SD CARD from the unit and send a data file from it to the tech support via email.
Which, I did today in case he needs to be in the loop for the compressor.

You can't hide from the CONvid.
Coming in contact with it is as inevitable as contacting a cold or flu.
The funny thing is that most people don't ever have symptoms and it's virtually harmless to children.
      So it's no concern whatsoever.
Elderly and other people with an underlying condition causing a weakened immune system (including being a user of pharmaceutical medications) are who are at risk.
People take risks to speed I traffic, ho sky diving whatever yet there's a bizarre new religion to be afraid of something that the lying ass media is pimping on a daily basis.
Real pandemics don't need the #FakeNews

You lost a few to it?
That must be some fluke statistics right there.
I don't know anyone who died as a direct cause of it at all and I know only 1 person who had it on his death certificate (which I have a copy of) who died of other complications but they claimed he got the beer virus right before he died.
Being on Medicare is no wonder they claim he had CONvid.
The national vital statistics systems instructed medical pros to list CONvid even if it was assumed to cause or even contribute to the death.
And the Feds give $13k extra Medicare funding if a medical facility handles a CONvid patient. Dead or alive.
      The statistics are being coerced.
