- Dugbo KD7DUG (who has an excellent RUclips channel linked below) was kind enough to loan me one of his mcHF transceivers a while back, and I FINALLY got a chance to get it out and on the air. This is an interesting radio. It's small, has a decent sized color waterfall, an internal speaker, an internal tuner, and a pile of other features. It's a little menu heavy, but that's common for a lot of amateur radios. So far I really like the rig. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. I'll need to get some more time under my belt with it before I can make a conclusion about it, but so far I'm pretty impressed and I see why he likes them so much. Thanks everyone for watching and 73!

LETS GO DUGBO
Used to own an authentic mcHF that I built myself from a bare PCB. Wasn't using it much so I ended up selling it to my friend. That assembly isn't easy by any means but I learned SMD soldering on it!
Sweet! Yeah, that would be WAY above my pay grade lol
And the list of QRP radios I would like to have continues to grow LOL! 73, Patrick KF4LMZ
I’m with ya on this menu driven crap. Like modern smart vehicles. Always a mess. The speaker did sound kinda funky or maybe it’s the filtering. Nice lookin rig though. Worth diving deeper
Nice to see the rig in action. Speaker sounds great must be me or I’m deaf. The ATU in this radio makes it a great radio for the field with any antenna. My issue is the depth of settings and menus. I focused in on the CW settings but all the other settings I have no clue . Thanks for the shout out !!!
Thanks for letting me use the rig. It's a really cool little radio! I really like it so far.

I hate when people trash public places.
I have an older Chinese version of that radio. I do like it. Don’t use it much because it doesn’t have a tuner. Got the info on where to get it?
Hit up Dugbo KD7DUG and he can fill you in. I'm not sure where he got the tuner. It definitely makes the radio more versatile. Thanks for watching!
Nice activation! I have a clone mcHF radio but I have not used it for a while, since I got the little Xiegu X6100 I mostly use that when working portable. Think I need to take the mcHF out again for an activation. I love QRP but where I live it can be difficult to get 10 qso's on CW as we only have a few local CW operators. To get 10 QSO's I normally have to activate when one of the higher bands are open so that I can work DX stations.
Enjoyed the video, thanks for the inspiration to go out again! Hope to work you P2P sometime in the future.
