not over yet.... Orr has submitted HB 2332... Eminent Domain. State of Texas has spent over $70 million dollars to develop the park. Buying the property by Eminent Domain is in the best interest of the people of Texas. So support Texas HB 2332.

I just activated Fairfield Lake State Park this afternoon (Wed, 2/22/23) from the picnic area. There were two other operators in the park. I think that they were camping as I did not see them in the picnic area. I may be able to get out there once more before the park is scheduled to close on the 28th. I talked to the park personnel on the way into the park. They said that negotiations were ongoing to save the park, so hopefully TPWD can work something out with the new owner.

That’s got to be something to be an activator at a park that is closing, and also the hunters I know the wording may not be right, but I retired park number. Thanks for taking your time to drive so far to activate the park and do the video. Have a great weekend.

Wow, that bandpass filter makes a TON of sense to me! I mean, what is a BPF other than the right combo of capacitance and inductance to absorb RF ripples you don't want right? If I'm following... the length of the coax has a specific capacitance and the diameter of the coil changes the inductance! You use one longer coil along with a shorter coil to match above and below the band you want, guessing it works on the same principles as a manual antenna tuner just way bigger so the elements are more reactive?!

We have a state park in Maryland that I already activated, and now is off the list. Wills Mountain State Park is a confirmed park according to Maryland DNR. It has public access but not a pull up and park your car. You have to hike up a mountain to get the main part of the park…. Beautiful area also none locally as Lover’s Leap. How many more parks that are in the states that are being denied a POTA ID number….. it is ridiculous. Good luck and 73😮

States lease some properties to give more people access to state parks locally. It sucks when the property owner decides to sell and we lose such a great place. Enjoy the parks while they're here. I suspect Texas might just roll the battleship historic site into the San Jacinto historic site if they don't send the battleship back there. Activate it while you can.
