Just an idea for next tutorial video's or any video in that case: Edit in the the pictures of the coasters you are talking about. Especially in these tutorial videos it would be nice to have a visualization of what we are learning haha.
This playlist is more Coaster College than Plane Coaster College :) the few non-coaster tutorials here are great and I'd love to see more of that stuff. Not that the coaster tutorials are bad, but there is more to the game than coasters.
I dont even play planet coaster I just watch these videos cause it's hilarious to watch the trains fall off the track while you're building. How do you not laugh every time?
Didn't even realise this one was in the game...curious coaster, but looks like it'd be pretty unexciting in reality, I can see why they haven't taken off ! Thanks for another informative video :)
I've used these in game and never even realized the carts swing XD So thanks for the video, I definitely learned something new! Now I want to try and build a ton and see how I can use that :)
Great Videos - like always! Thanks a lot Silvarret! I would love to see more tutorial-videos about building in Planet coaster. I know there allready are some videos from you and other youtubers, but i think there are still so many questions about building which i can't answer myself due the time lapse videos. I mean building in detail. if you plan a new building, or area - how do you start, what are your goals, what pieces are best, how the manage more buildings in one... detailed stuff like that would be soo awesome! but thanks anyway - wish you the best!
Really wondering why Frontier decided to put these in, as there is only one in real life, before a Vekoma Junior, SLC, family inverted, ... you know, those that have thousands of them in the world... Okay, this is great but shouldn't be number 1 on their list. Anyways, great college session once again!
Thanks! I'm definitely wondering the same. Though not kidding, I was extremely happy to see that this thing was added into the game, I wonder what goes into the producers' minds to prioritize budget for this over other rides. That said... who knows what's coming down the pipeline from those cheeky bastards.
these things are totally OP ratings wise if you disregard realism, you can get some absolutely insane excitement ratings in a tiny footprint if you just go mental with sharp direction changes and banking.
10:44 That is such a mandela effect for me. I could've sworn the real version had an inline twist. Though I rode it when I was a child so it might just be me remembering wrong
I built a crazy one of these without knowing what I was doing in career mode. The riders were actually upside down for about 1/4 of the ride (even though the description says the cars don't invert), and I got really good stats. It's not realistic, but there's definitely some room to get creative with these.
Hey silv, u da best! I love your coasters. I dare you to make a swing coaster that looks from the outside to be all kid friendly, but make it an insane "horror" themed coaster.
Not next, but they've been pretty often requested - all coasters are on the to do list for some point in the future, but I do want to keep some kind of order. The 4d coaster is next, and afterwards come most likely either the B&M's or a group of misc (the latter being launch, spinning and Eurofighter)
Maybe I'll try and make one since it doesn't seem like such a huge project compared to my others, and It will be interesting to see what one can make out of this coaster type.
I believe you can build Arrow's Steel Suspended like Big Bad Wolf for example. I've seen it as an option on a bunch of youtuber's channels while they were choosing train type.
It is pretty similar to the IRL one at Skara Sommarland, Sweden.. :) Edit: 1:35 .. If I remember correctly the only thing holding you in the car is a seatbelt (kind of like those on airplanes)
Mooi gemaakt! Ik krijg hem niet zo goed :P Nu maak ik de originele ook niet na maar ze vliegen elke keer over de kop :P Wat ik wel vetter vind btw... maar ik zie dat jij een hele lage snelheid gebruikt dat is de truc :)
Why do we need to add catwalks along the breaks and block breaks? Is it just for aesthetics / real world similarity, or does it have an effect on gameplay?
Dude, you should consider putting a link to a real life example. This is the first time I've ever seen anything like this and I'm curious to know what it looks like IRL.
don't have planet coaster, so watching tutorials is pretty pointless. still come for the content anyway. plus you can learn about roller coasters themselves too
If you wanna "cheat" a bit, bank curves the "wrong" way. The game will think its airtime and you will get very high excitement ratings without making it look unrealistic :)
I could see one of these in a Universal park either themed to Harry Potter or replacing IoA's Pterodon Flyers. idk, this concept has as much potential as it has limitations...also no POV :(
Not sure when I'll bet getting to those - I want to tick off all the Arrow/S&S coasters first, which is why the 4D coaster will be covered next week. After that, I may very well head into the B&M's, but I don't want to make any promises!
I think the name is that way because the coaster track moves in 3 directions as per usual, with the 4th direction being the rotation of the cars themselves. It's far from scientifically accurate, but I think it's a cool name.
That's what frustrates me about this game, just a little. They put in the rarest coaster variant in the world, but they don't give the hybrids a powered launch?
I have been the real one. The load time is terribly slow: There weren't even that many people qeueing, and still it took forever. And the ride itself was short and quite boring. I realise it's a family coaster but there are much better options in my opinion
In real life, it takes up too much space for a "family ride" and capacity is too low.....and it costs too much. In PC life, the stupid bird car limits your options for themes.

looked amazing, especially the inline-twist. what a shame this isn't made anymore!
This playlist is more Coaster College than Plane Coaster College :) the few non-coaster tutorials here are great and I'd love to see more of that stuff. Not that the coaster tutorials are bad, but there is more to the game than coasters.
This has to be my Favourite coaster I have seen in this game
I dont even play planet coaster I just watch these videos cause it's hilarious to watch the trains fall off the track while you're building. How do you not laugh every time?

Thanks for the tutorials. I hope there will be more coaster tutorials soon. They're my weakest point in many coaster design games. Good work.
Thanks for doing these videos. Really helpful for learning how to get started with the different coaster types. Thanks Silvarret!
The swinging affect reminds me of 7 dwarf mine coaster in Magic Kingdom
Very nice tutorial, but no POV? :(
Woops! I'll put it on the Workshop, so if you want, you can check it out!
A bonus video of the POV would be really nice, for those of us viewers that do not own the game. Great video either way!
This, please!
Everyone can watch the workshop without having the game ;)
Malron oh right, thought he meant he'd put the blueprint/building on there, didn't think about the videos, thx
This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for doing a video on this kind of coaster!
I've used these in game and never even realized the carts swing XD So thanks for the video, I definitely learned something new! Now I want to try and build a ton and see how I can use that :)
Great Videos - like always! Thanks a lot Silvarret!

Silvarret indeed. it's a good thing this is in the game though, maybe S&S will sell more now :p
Gianni Hah, I wish. Hell, I'd buy one myself, but a cost upward of 3 million is a little much :x
We actully have one of those in Sweden in a waterpark. Its one of my favorite child Coasters. ;D
Because they're awesome, that's why! I'm amazed there aren't more in the world yet. It's such an awesome concept.
that is such a weird coaster. thnx for showing that silv! you have answered severall questions i had about this coaster :)
these things are totally OP ratings wise if you disregard realism, you can get some absolutely insane excitement ratings in a tiny footprint if you just go mental with sharp direction changes and banking.

Love this weird coaster!
I love these types of videos!
Truth be told, these coasters are a better fit for smaller parks or zoos anyway where having a low rider capacity wouldn't be a real problem.
awesome vid, its very informative and detailed.
Thanks Silv, any chance of a launch coaster tutorial next?
I've seen some crazy ones that I just can't figure out.
Not next, but they've been pretty often requested - all coasters are on the to do list for some point in the future, but I do want to keep some kind of order. The 4d coaster is next, and afterwards come most likely either the B&M's or a group of misc (the latter being launch, spinning and Eurofighter)
ok thanks
I have Ride this one in real life! :)
Would really love to see how to create the 4D coaster. Maybe in the future??
thanks for doing my suggestion!
sulvarret can you make your favorite rollercoaster in reallife
Oh oops
sulvarrrt
Do you smell that? Farrrt.
Maybe I'll try and make one since it doesn't seem like such a huge project compared to my others, and It will be interesting to see what one can make out of this coaster type.
Silv! I'd really love a PC College vid on the Torque launched coaster? It would be super helpful, thanks!
I wish Planet Coaster would have included Arrow Suspended coasters instead of this.
TheRealConcertKing They still have the potential to add more coasters in the future, as they have added new flat rides.
I believe you can build Arrow's Steel Suspended like Big Bad Wolf for example. I've seen it as an option on a bunch of youtuber's channels while they were choosing train type.
They did
It is pretty similar to the IRL one at Skara Sommarland, Sweden.. :)
Edit: 1:35 .. If I remember correctly the only thing holding you in the car is a seatbelt (kind of like those on airplanes)
It is the same coaster type
amazing tutorial thanks
Hey, Silv, I'd love to learn about 4D coasters and how to build them.
Hey Silvarret, will you be doing one on the Sprint 500 launched hydraulic coaster? The one that's based on Formula Rossa in Abu Dhabi? That'd be cool.
I wonder how adding a dive loop to this type of ride could boost your Excitement ratings.
Mooi gemaakt! Ik krijg hem niet zo goed :P Nu maak ik de originele ook niet na maar ze vliegen elke keer over de kop :P Wat ik wel vetter vind btw... maar ik zie dat jij een hele lage snelheid gebruikt dat is de truc :)
?
@Nouvel Alaoui no
@Nouvel Alaoui I am Mexican
@Nouvel Alaoui I was just wondering what language it was
@Nouvel Alaoui swearing doesn’t make you cool
Why do we need to add catwalks along the breaks and block breaks? Is it just for aesthetics / real world similarity, or does it have an effect on gameplay?
just for aesthetics / real world similarity
Can you do a tutorial on single rail coasters
We have one of these coasters in skara sommarland in sweden
Anyone know where the only one of these in the world are? I thought it might've been in Dollywood in Gatlinburg Tennessee, but I could be mistaken.
Its in Sweden at Skara sommarland or something :p
Sandgrr thanks!
you were thinking of Wild Eagle :)
overlookers yes that's the one! Wasn't sure if it was considered this type of coaster or not.
Tranan is pretty fun in irl
Can you put all of your Coaster College coasters on the steam workshop please. And if you can, can you upload the arrow hyper that you made to it?
Dude, you should consider putting a link to a real life example. This is the first time I've ever seen anything like this and I'm curious to know what it looks like IRL.
I'll put it in the description! This is what it rides like IRL: ruclips.net/video/dBIYDmEtEVU/видео.html
Can you do a Planet Coaster College on B&M inverts?
Visit "Skarasommarland" they have this coaster
At sweden
I was so desperate for a pov :(
Sorry! I knew I was forgetting something while recording, but the realization came too late :/
How do you get from the station into it?
by the way, i don't think it's an albatros. isn't it a stork?
What about SNS 4d free fly coasters like the joker
the first five seconds made me feel like I was watching a my sims lets play
don't have planet coaster, so watching tutorials is pretty pointless. still come for the content anyway. plus you can learn about roller coasters themselves too
The Unknown
Same here. And it's always fun learning facts that most have no use for in real life.
Smoothy Smooth :D
I have one wish, For silv to play Portal 2 and build a amazing test in the Perpetual Testing Initiative.
this coaster is in sweden i have ride it
cool vid
At 3:58 the carts inverts
I've ridden that IRL :)
Do a b&m giga coaster college
Nick Divoria or intamin, both are good to learn about.
Mike Veenhuis True :)
Atleast it is not a big pain to make like the test pilot (aka the X2 roller coaster)
If you wanna "cheat" a bit, bank curves the "wrong" way. The game will think its airtime and you will get very high excitement ratings without making it look unrealistic :)
what is it with dutch and the words "little bit"???
I notice it by myself too...
Matthijs de Rijk Lil bits for little mouths
I could see one of these in a Universal park either themed to Harry Potter or replacing IoA's Pterodon Flyers. idk, this concept has as much potential as it has limitations...also no POV :(
b&m hyper please!
Onride pleeeeeeeze
Silv said there are only one of these in the world, where?
Tranan S&S Free Fly Roller Coaster Skara Sommerland Sweden
Scerio Skara sommarland in Sweden, it's called "Tranan"
what about the floor less coaster
Not sure when I'll bet getting to those - I want to tick off all the Arrow/S&S coasters first, which is why the 4D coaster will be covered next week. After that, I may very well head into the B&M's, but I don't want to make any promises!
4D coaster emmmm we live in 3D world.
Czorńy Lisek you don't know what a 4d coaster is, do you?
I know what is "4D coaster". End that don't change that we live in 3D world end naming/calling that enything is more than 3D is plain stupid.
I think the name is that way because the coaster track moves in 3 directions as per usual, with the 4th direction being the rotation of the cars themselves. It's far from scientifically accurate, but I think it's a cool name.
Silv is starting to sound like the bob Ross of planet coaster
Silv "carriage shound NEVER invert" - carriage inverts at 03:58 ffs! Kappa
Ffs Adfo, I can't deal with this shade
no pov? I'm outraged.
make more of this videos
more technical
That's what frustrates me about this game, just a little. They put in the rarest coaster variant in the world, but they don't give the hybrids a powered launch?
there is a free fly coaster at six flags great america called the joker
No POV 😢
класс 👍
do a giga
No bonus POV, i'm sad now
Long winded is said like air wind. Not like wind up. English tips.
S&S Sansai introduces, the suspended coaster but not
@Silvarret Hoe gaat het? ^_^
you did not ride it:(
Go check out attempt number 1
No POV :(
Your tutorials are really helpful. Without them I my roller coasters would be in coaster prison for killing thousands of virtual people using g force
POV!
I have been the real one.
The load time is terribly slow: There weren't even that many people qeueing, and still it took forever.
And the ride itself was short and quite boring. I realise it's a family coaster but there are much better options in my opinion
pov?
In real life, it takes up too much space for a "family ride" and capacity is too low.....and it costs too much.
In PC life, the stupid bird car limits your options for themes.
It's pronounced long winded. As in windy weather. 😂😂
But I loved the video sorry I'm just OCD 😂
no pov or rating? I'm triggered.
well since its a family coaster i would say something around 5/3/2
NO POV 😲
Ziet er wel weer heel nice uit, ga zo door! :)
One minute. God is with me. Even that im an atheist.
thats just as stupid as: "i got a green apple. the apple is red."
Zamorak4404 No.
So... All christians are colourblind? Seems right.
