The story of Contra: It's the year 2631. Off the coast of New Zealand's Galuga Archipelago, a mysterious meteorite crashed down. After that, in 2633 (2 years later), the mysterious invaders who call themselves the Red Falcon has made the Galuga Archipelago their military base, and are plotting for the extinction of the human race. So the commander of the Marine Corps ordered two members of the Marine Task Force CONTRA, Bill and Lance, to infiltrate the Red Falcon's base and destroy it. I find the Famicom version to be very impressive. It’s surprising that the game was released after the NES and it had more content compared to its US counterpart. This version lets you engage in the story beside the gameplay and the cutscenes are beautiful to watch.
