Contra is much better on the Famicom

The North American version of Contra is missing quite a bit.
All the background animations, the levels map, the 2 cut scenes in between levels. The Alien Lair is particularly noticeable, as the whole level moved as if you're inside a live Alien's guts.

You are right the Famicon version was so much better with the prologue, epilogue, level maps and the cut scenes.
