Not my experience of being with someone with Venus in cancer, they also have cancer ascendant and Scorpio moon and Pluto.
Haven't found them to open up much or be that generous at all.
And yes, they feel emotionally safe, told me how calming it is to be with me, we have even recently been intimate but they are expressing anything else you mentioned said
