The problem with the match was that Regal was always promoted as a lower-midcard heel. Nobody really cared about him or his matches. They just saw him with a stupid gimmick. Then Fit Finlay comes in as a heel and starts fighting with him. They never really promoted it enough to get people to care about seeing the match in the first place.
As a teen watching this live, I really didn't care about either of them much less their matches. As an adult looking back, you really start to appreciate the talent and ability of Regal.

They had a slew of International talent they could have pushed and done really well with, but when the office and booking are fixated on past their prime talent(Hogan & Flair) who also have the biggest say behind the scenes, people like Regal, Finlay, The Guerreros, Alex Wright, etc were buried in the midcard. It's a shame

Now an English person who heard “from Blackpool, England Lord Steven Regal” would say if he’s from Blackpool his father wasn’t a Lord before him he probably run a donkey ride business on Blackpool Beach or Pier and if he didn’t do that he was either someone who worked at Blackpool Pleasure Beach or as a bingo caller for Mecca Bingo 🕋 See I don’t know why WWE hasn’t kept the title name for William Regal’s son Charlie and called him Earl Charlie Regal son of Lord William Regal and when William Regal dies his son will become Lord Charlie Regal grandson of a guy who gave donkey rides on the beach (like Cody Rhodes is a grandson of a plumber)

Was there ever a follow up video about the Car park brawl match they had on Nitro? Even more brutal and notable for Eric Bischoff shitting himself on commentary throughout asking to wide shots as they go through legit glass and dent the fuck out of vehicles all around them

The Americans are clueless. They love their muscles and superhero type wrestlers, not actual tough guys who wrestle and hurt each other

I remember watching that match when it came out on home video. They beat the living piss out of each other. IIRC Jeeves was long time Memphis star Bill Dundee.
