    LG Stylo 2 Screen Repair, Teardown and Reassemble Guide Video Transcription:
    Warning:

    We claim no responsibility for any damages that might occur
    The DIY LG Stylo 2 repair tools used in this video can be found here: www.fixez.com/...
    Step 1
    Power down your LG Stylo 2 smartphone.
    Step 2 (LG Stylo 2 S Pen Stylus)
    Smoothly remove the LG Stylo 2 S Pen.
    Step 3 (LG Stylo 2 Rear Battery Cover, Battery and Nano-SIM)
    Easily remove the Stylo 2 rear battery cover. No tools necessary!
    Extract the 3000 milliampere-hour (mAh) LG Stylo 2 battery.
    Slide out the Nano-SIM card.
    Step 4 (LG Stylo 2 Exterior Midframe)
    Remove the following 11 Phillips screws.
    Use the triangle opening tool to work around the LG phone and free the exterior midframe.
    Step 5 (LG Stylo 2 Loudspeaker)
    Eradicate the Stylo 2 loudspeaker from the midframe.
    Step 6 (LG Stylo 2 Rear-Facing Camera and Front-Facing Camera)
    Remove the 13-megapixel Stylo 2 rear-facing camera.
    Spudge up the 5-megapixel LG Stylo 2 front-facing camera.
    Step 7 (LG Stylo 2 Motherboard)
    Disconnect the display cable and then lift out the Stylo 2 motherboard.
    Step 8 (LG Stylo 2 Earpiece Speaker, Vibrator and Headphone Jack)
    With the tweezers in hand, pluck out the Stylo 2 earpiece speaker, vibrator and headphone jack.
    Step 9 (LG Stylo 2 Display Assembly)
    Peel the display cable up from the midframe.
    Begin to free the 5.7-inch Stylo 2 LCD assembly by using the heat gun to warm up the adhesive.
    With the precision knife, carefully create separation and insert a playing card to start slicing through the adhesive securing the display to the interior midframe.
    Take your time and apply additional heat as needed.
    Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the display cable when decoupling the LG Stylo 2 screen from the frame.
    * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

    Removing the speaker is not necessary. It will mess your sound up. Be careful. Don't do it.

      xXMr L3G3NDXx your output sound won't work. you can still make calls but listening to. music you gotta do with headphones. honestly I was told to get a new phone because a new ear piece is worth half the phone and the phone is already cheaply made. u just use earphones for now.

      Glass only repairs require specialized machinery and are out side the scope of our repair videos.

    It is best to buy the screen with the frame....it was maybe $20 more than the glass screen but much easier. I took the speaker loose which was later told in comments not to. Guess what..my speaker did not work afterwards. BUT. I was able to get good advice from a repair shop and didn't cost me. When you put the speaker back in make sure you have the gold tape looking connectors that do not come loose when you remove the speaker from old glass frame. Very Important!

      I did manage to bring the circuit tape over to my new frame, but I still have no sound. Is there something specific that I need to make sure it's touching? Thanks...

    • @guchigustav9964
      @guchigustav9964 7 лет назад +1

      Jeigh Neither hi when youre buting back youre speaker there are to metal hooks or bumps coming out of the speaker make sure there thocing the connectors to the mother board correctly and make shure the tape is not covering the motherboard were the. conector and the motherboard thoch. if you can turn on you're phone while the back is off then put on playing while you take out the speaker and rub it against the connectors untill you hear sound. hope this helps

      @JeighNeither 7 лет назад

      Awesome Gus! Thanks for taking the time to answer that question for me; I will break it back down and try it out. I'll keep you posted ;) Que amable; mucho gracias!

    • @JeighNeither
      @JeighNeither 7 лет назад

      Well... I did have the speaker in backwards, but the tape is exactly where it was before. I'm not sure what you meant about taking the batter out; I'm on a Stylo Two Plus, so maybe it's different. I have a cover that goes over my mother board, and the phone won't start without it being in place... which means I can't reach the battery. Oh well, I guess I need to go get a bluetooth headset : / Thanks for your help though! Oh, and it is vibrating now, when it wasn't before, lol, that's a little progress!

      Easy fix if like me you took the speaker out only to put it back and finish reassembling the phone to find out now there is no longer sound. So take apart the phone again if u look at the speaker there are two small clasps on the speaker they have to lay exactly on the copper sticker chip. Just make sure when u put the middle cover on it everything is aligned snap the bottom on first.

      It's the adhesive we use to adhere the display back into the frame. At 7:30 we show removing the red backing from the adhesive.

    how many degrees of the heat gun ??

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  7 лет назад

      The heat gun used is non-adjustable. We go buy feeling the glass while heating. It should be uncomfortable to the touch but not hot enough to burn you or melt the plastic.

  • @gregp4557

    he skips the most important part!!!
    My screen came as just a screen. No cable attached. The video shows him remove the old screen (with cable) and then install a new screen that already has a cable. Am I supposed to get a screen with cable?? or am I to reattach the cable?? How do i reattach it? do I need a special adhesive? There is no attachment on the new screen.
    Since this is a video about replacing the screen he SHOULD SHOW THE PART ABOUT REPLACING THE SCREEN not just leading up to it and then afterwards.
    Big FAIL !!!

    • @JeighNeither
      @JeighNeither 7 лет назад

      I've done this procedure but I'm lost on what you mean by 'cable"... and do you just have the screen, or do you have the screen with the frame?
