I wanted to see what you thought of this book now that I finished it. I really enjoyed the book itself. Something that you had talked about in this video that I want to mention. Lee child does a great job in this book where Jack Reacher is crawling through the cave. That cave continues to get more narrow and narrower as he goes further into it to the point where he's literally almost stuck. That description sent my anxiety through the roof. I've never had a book affect me quite as bad as this one when it came to that. And I read every single word because I was going to take full advantage of a book actually affecting me. So yeah great review. I just wanted to add that little thought because of that scene in the cave. I'm going to go search out the first book and see what you thought of that one as well. And then continue to watch these as I read them.
I'm listening to the audiobook on audible right now. I'm on chapter 33 and so far, I'm hooked on it. I like the build up, so far, my only complaint is that there isn't enough action in terms of Reacher. So far, he's only killed one dude and I wish there was more of that sprinkled throughout the story. I'm hoping that it's being savored for later on in the book. I can't wait to read about Jack fucking some people up.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit when I read it a couple of months ago. I need to get back to this series, as I had a good time with the first two novels.
While I do really like/love the Reacher novels, you are spot on about hits and misses. I really like most of them, there are a couple of them that I wouldn’t want to ever read again. But, all in all, I’ll keep reading them because when they are good, they are really good. Now, if we could just get someone to do a good job playing Reacher on screen. In the movies. Tom Cruise isn’t big enough physically for the role. Don’t know the name of the TV guy, but, while he is big enough, I just can’t picture him as an Army Major.
For me this was the book in the series that stopped me from reading any more books. It was quite a while ago so I can’t remember the actual specifics but I know I did not continue
I've read a bunch of these and your review here of this one and the whole series is spot on. Enjoyable enough for what they are [huge ass money makers for sure] - fast food of the book world. However, the one co-written with his son I read several months is awful and I've pretty much given up on reading anymore.
I liked a few of the Jack Reacher books. But I’ve got to say it’s Mitch Rapp for me all the way. I was devastated when Vince Flynn died. I continue to read American Assassin over and over . 🇺🇸
You took a big risk buying the whole series after reading just one. But you lucked out, I've read all the ones Lee Child wrote and there's not a bad one in the whole series although some are demonstrably stronger than others and those are very good indeed.
Doesn't sound like a series I want to try - I need a little extra hook if it's a Gary Stu thriller, like I enjoy the Robert Langdon books because you learn all sorts of art and religious history at the same time, but Robert has no character besides being perfect - some of the villains are interesting though. I think I'm more interested to read Jack Ryan over Jack Reacher.

Review more Reacher books please.

Thanks Brian
I'm guessing Jack Reacher is on the cover because it's a more recognizable name what with the movies and tv show.
Check out Harlan Coben Brian! Trying to return the favor as you got me into Ken Follett and Brad Thor.
I tried one Harlan Coben Myron Bolitar novel and just couldn't get into it. Maybe I will return to that author someday
I have read 4 Jack Reacher books and so far this is my least favorite as it takes too long to get him out of that first capture.

You are cool man...love from🇮🇳
Who cares . Your reviews get mixed up with the audiobooks.
