A little old lady I knew on the grind recommended Reacher. She gave me one to get started when there were only 20 books. Three months later I'd burnt through them and bought four more by Lee Child as they appeared. I loved them; some are in first person, others in third, but it didn't matter as all of them were highly readable. Child's brother has written the most recent four books since then, Lee Child is a pseudonym so who knows who is writing them. Like Mr. Durfee, I haven't bothered reading them, but one has such an intriguing title I'm tempted: No Plan B.
I have only read the first five Reacher novels but they are great and I will continue the series, apparently the later books Lee Child collaborates with his younger brother, I don't think I'll have a problem with that when I get that far - its not a Wilbur Smith situation where the writer is dead and his estate has other writers you've never heard of writing books with Smith's name on, so I'll give them a try.
Just a little side note, Lee Child is turning his series to his brother over to his brother and has co-written with him for a few of these and will be out of the writing here shortly. He isn’t doing anything like James Patterson.
I have a feeling this might be the story for Season 3 of the show in some form. That girl at the end leaves in that new sports car and says “Key West or bust”. Just a thought.

Great review. Maybe compare the different series Reacher, Gray Man, Orphan X etc and choose a winner. Would be fun to watch

Thanks for the info. It sounds like another case of eerie/suspiciously prescient 7/11 references.
Love the Jack Reacher books, currently reading Personal (no19) I believe, out of order but it’s set in Paris and London which is fun

It was confirmed during this last week that the next season is going to be an adaptation of Persuader.
@@TheJFGB93 Hadn’t heard. Thanks.
I do have to admit that Alan Ritchson absolutely owns the role of Reacher :)
What would you say your top 3 or 4 jack reacher books are?
I thought you'd only read like 4 or 5
I like the show but for reading I just find him a little too perfect as a character. Corny and cheesy works better on tv than in books
I stopped reading when his brother stepped in😊
Which book was that?
