Eddy is the man! Thanks for the tutorial man. My 64 is all 6 volt and I’m very apprehensive about driving at night, but will look to do this soon.👍
6 volt h4s on amazon. i run them on my daily 58 bug
Hey Eddie/Shin, this is stan the man Bad Razz. Thumbs up your video. Just wanted to say the first thing I did to Bad Razz, was changing out my halogens to LED headlights. This was among some of the changes I want to accomplish before bringing out Bad Razz again.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. On the "to do list" now.
First time on your channel. Loved the video. Didn’t know they had 6v led’s! I’ll be back, I just subscribed.
got these on my bus good and bright.
Thanks for the info. I have an all og 63 ragtop beetle and plan on keeping it that way so this definitely helps.
Nice and bright 🤙 🇺🇸
The 6v headlights were perfectly fine for night driving. The problem arrived as other cars got brighter and brighter headlights.
i love leds, but I just use 6 volt h4s
Thanks for the tutorial I only see 12V lamps in the description. Just picked up a 6V 1960 Beetle. Want to replace the housing, lamp and bulbs to the halogens, any links I can use. Thanks
Just ordered all of it for my 1961 6 volt double door panel bus. Hope it is worth it!
UPDATE; Received the headlight bulbs, undamaged, simple install, fantastic results. Instant-on, very bright and precise beam. They appear to be of very good quality, heavy in your hand. Very pleased with them.
UPDATE. It was totally worth it. Super easy to install, and throws a accurately directed bright white beam. My bus can see in the dark now!
That’s probably a lot easier on the generator on those probably stay brighter than idle
I definately like the upgrade for safety sake. I'm curious about the the new bulbs. Are they hindered from vibration ? Is the life span less ?
I am running this LED for 4 years now. It still works perfect.
Are there any H4 LEDs that still have that halogen color?
The one we installed was more white color. I think there are some warmer color LED available.
Awesome!! I have a 64 bug. This will come innhandy!! 2 questions; the link for the housing onnamazon, has various sizing options, which do I pick?
Also, could u send a link to the Led bulb that u used. Thanks a million!!!
For the housing, you should get 178mm H4.
For the LED Bulb, if you are running 6V, this should work.

@@hotvwsmagazine awesome thank youu!!! Gonna jump on this project asap. I heard u say in video about a different video regarding similar issue with tail lights. I just subsribed to your chanel, but cant find that video. By any chance could u send me that link please. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻thanks again❤
Any suggestions / links for LED options in European headlamps?
European headlight might little bit tricky since it has P45T style bulb and I never seen LED with P45T. You would need P45T - H4 adapter like this.

I was going to ask the same thing. I need some 12v LEDs with a P45T base. I've seen the adpaters but I've seen some talk about them moving the bulb so the beam pattern isn't right.
If it's 12V, you can find P45T base LED like this one.
