I worked for PPG for several years and I was fortunate enough to see many of these high end paints. No video or picture can do them justice, the ones you see on the road often are not what this one is. You'll rarely see the good paint because it's 40k a gallon in some cases. But if you do see it in person its depth and colour can be breathtaking. 2 to 3 colour flip paint is nothing compared to the real stuff.

I owned a car back in the day $20000 Paint Job Harlequin PPG from Gold to Purple to Green to Slightly blue. Whole car, Similar to this but more Purple plus Flake on the roof area and rear blend.

I’ve seen this car at so many meets here in Adelaide, Australia, the owner takes it everywhere, which makes me happy knowing the car actually gets driven and not just kept hidden somewhere in storage!

This has the wheels and paint I'd have picked as a teenager playing NFSU2.
I'm not so in love with ANY color that I'd spend that kind of money on it, but I have to admit that the engine bay is one of the very best I've ever seen. I think that color suits it better than any other. Best R34 engine bay in the world IMO.

When larry asked how much torque he had , he said 1300.

The owner said yes, but i think he misunderstood the question.
It's definitly 1300 NM of torque , not pound feet.
That would make it 1730 Nm , impossible with a 2.6 l and that turbo

alright, i love all your works, and normally wont do a call out. but im a custom painter by trade, and customs builder. no way there is 24L of paint on that thing!!!! it would be riverbottom cracked all over the place. 4 liters per gallon, would equal 6 gallons of base coat. you need a max of a gallon for that car, maybe an extra qt for the jams and underhood. 4 to 6 liters to do that car. the things people will say and do to get that spotlight. frustrating at times.
And they still missed the boot floor. I guess they didn't bother strip out the interior to use that 20L of leftover paint..lo

@@A_lesson_in_Hate thats not how that works at all. they would have done spray out cards, then adjusted the tint. no way they sprayed the whole car, just to check the color.
In a work full of wraps it's nice to see such a cool paint job. I would love to spend a few hours detailing that car. Epic car man. Epic.

That paint price tag was ridiculous! Hell no i can spend 60k on a boat load of anything other than paint lol. Fr though, that gif with the black kid on the calculator had me dying 😂😂😂. Oh man this dude spent 60k on paint and people think its a wrap...I would be forced to start swinging on people 😂

It's most likely newton meters rather than ft/lbs like he agreed to. An over square making that ratio of power to torque is unreasonable

My barra makes 1140NM of torque with 500hp at the wheel's so i think it's not impossible for it
@@A_lesson_in_Hate the Barra is an undersquare motor tho, thus it has a predisposition for making torque. The numbers he claimed for his RB26 are just within what I would believe is reasonable
@@A_lesson_in_Hatedoing some math says that it's making abt 1000 ft/lbs. Let's just say for ease of math that it makes peak torque at 8500rpm, which is reasonable because redline is 10,000rpm. And we'll say that at 8500rpm, it makes about 650hp (out of it's peak of 829). Using that logic to convert HP to torque we multiply the (HP x RPM)/5252. So (650 x 8500)/5252=1,051.98. This isn't perfect but it gives a pretty good estimate that lines up with the owner's claims

The pait job is stunning. Simply spectacular, however I'm not digging the wheels, tires and stance. The purple R34 has the best wheel setup. Meaty tires with the right stance.
And super car price, but that's the best sounding RB I have heard.

These paint jobs were common back in the early 2000s, I remember seeing so many landcruisers with this paint job. Didn’t cost this much though haha

One thing I dislike about current car styling is the abuse of black wheels. Early 00's was my high school days and black rims were for all black cars with tints. Chrome was the ish during this timeline but I'm not saying we need to chrome everything lol. New cars need to go back to the brushed aluminum look. I believe thats what its called. Regardless, the black wheel trend needs to end and be for the murdered out look only! This might get some people butthurt or just get me called an idiot 😆.

Agreed. It's a gorgeous color but it's definitely overpowering with how much of it is used. But I suppose if you're spending that much on paint you'd want to get your money's worth lol
