Mam....We use to add raw rice with dhal and grind in mixie mam.....But we add lesser quantity of rice....compared to the wet grinder measurements......The vada will be crispier for even after sometime mam.....End result will be good..
Yes i add idli rice to ulundhu and soak for 3 hrs to grind in mixie .. vada will be soft till the evening .. suppose if the ulundhu vadai mavoo is little watery I use tea filter for shaping vada .. oh hhhh there comes vada excellently and shape also comes like grinder vada THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AMMA 🙏🙏

I soak urad dal in fridge for 3to4 hours, grinding 25% urad dal in mixcy first with required amount of salt and keep aside, grinding remaining urad dal and add to previous batch. Now add rice flour, salt onions... mix well. Make vadas. U get perfect. Adding salt at end makes batter watery . Adding salt while grinding whole batch of urad dal also not fluff up the batter well, that's reason grinding with salt into small portion of urad dal.
