    My question to you is it worth being a owner operator paying yourself a $1,000 a week vs just being a company driver making the same thing without the overhead?

      That's a great question. And I'd be more then happy to provide clarification. I net almost 100k and pay myself 52k. A big portion of that 48k goes to escrows for maintenance and truck payments, but I can take out an owner disbursement at any time. (Which is taxed less). My personal personal business strategy is to have enough saved, so if I have a major breakdown, I can afford the repair and time off or buy a new truck. With that being said, yes this experience has been worth it. Not just for the business experience but financially as well. Thanks again for the question

      @@rhamestransportationok thank you for enlightening me. That makes a lot of sense now. I was on the fence about crossing over to owner operator but I didn’t see the advantage. I do think that I will wait a while longer to see if rates will go up and I may look into the lease purchase with your company. Be safe on the road 👍
