I’m 18 and about to apply to Roehl because they are doing the safe driver apprenticeship program for 18 year olds to drive over state lines. This has been my dream for years so excited to finally join the industry!
I love these videos!! Your looking healthier too!! Keep it up because I know life on the road can get tough. Save all your money so you can retire early bro or do this for 10 - 15 years and than drive smaller dump trucks that are easier and your still making bank. Good luck
Glad you noticed! Been trying to stick with healthier eating. RE is the plan for sure. I wanna put in a good 4 years of trucking and then work on some other plans I have.
Make sure to keep this routine on point! I know a lot of truckers (I work for the Target warehouse and deal with live drop off drivers), who would have a good routing every day, get their exercise and such and just got lazy over the years. Good luck on being a trucker! Please be safe out there.
Which target? We go to target warehouses... It's really all discipline, but I can see how it's easy to get lazy. And I only plan on trucking for like 2-4 years
I did the Roehl training route and it worked out great for me. I'm driving for Jb hunt dedicated now but the red Roehl truck stood out brighter. I miss that red Freightshaker. good video. Thanks. -Rick

Took a few months off to get some stuff done back home, but I’m actually coming back to roehl on a different fleet this time, so I’m pretty excited. Feels like day one again

Thank you for all of your videos, I am thinking of getting my CDL and trying decide between going to Roehl or Prime Inc. I hear Roehl has a better home time policy and more regional/dedicated routes than Prime Inc, so I'm leaning more towards Roehl. Are you OTR or Regional and how is your home time? Also, how was your time with your trainer, do you feel that it was enough time? I know Prime Inc requires 50,000 miles with a trainer.
I’m Regional, so I stay on east coast. Home time is a 1.5 days off every week. I was out with my trainer for a month, that was plenty of time. If that’s true with prime, I hope you have a good trainer because that’s A LOT of miles.
Stack paper man - life is simple on the road Practice your S turns so you can backup with the drivers side mirror - as long as you line up the drivers side of the can you can always pull forward to get the can straight. After that just back it up straight. Blindsiding is cool but takes more practice - S turns are quick and easy as hell

For a new driver, how many hrs drive time? I'm guessing it's like hspu's you can't just pop up & do 37.
Youll be working long days. Some days you drive longer, sometimes shorter. HOS is 14 hr clock and 11 hr drive clock.
So I just got my permit. Can you explain how you did a 70 hour week if you’re only allowed 60 hours for 7 days?
If you operate as a company 7 days of the week you follow the 70/8 rule. If the company operates less than that (m-f for example) you follow 60/7
