Beam is not like it is at practice. I totally lost my head on beam at a competition in my club that I was the biggest gymnast at eight grade. I didn't start gymnastics till third grade. I remember getting a back walk over in practice in the old gym. I was so cool.
alicia sacramone seems to be a nice person and she certainly won some acolades in the past but failed when she was needed the most. plus, she was know for being quite a headcase (one of the reasons she wasnt chosen in 2004) and the had a breakdown at the olympics to the point that another team mate kind of embraced the role of team captain (alicia was named tc) in the team finals. i think she had a gym but never heard of it frankly, so what could be reaally her contribution to the team? unlike Memmel who is a judge, made a come back, is soo so focused, she is working with adult gymnastics, etc etc. not trying to bash Alicia, but again trying to understand why she was chosen and what could her contribution to the team.

When I search any men’s sport do I get ONE and then womens sports. If I wanted that grade performance, I’d search middle schools athletics.
