Christ what a dust storm. water truck broke down?
Looks like nothing was said on the 1 way radio from the tower. The lights were red around the track, but who knows if the drivers could have seen since it was so dusty. The important thing is that everyone is ok.
David Bachman Possibly. Seen that at canandaigua once. Couple cars spun, yellow flew, some cars spun, someone launched over another car and the guy broke his neck in the ensueing end over end flip

The dust causing poor visibility, but the main factor was the sun was right in the driver's faces on the front stretch. The officials were slow on throwing the yellow even before going red. I still remember watching from the pits and screaming for the yellow! It was quite sickening watching the cars pile in, and more were coming, just narrowly avoiding the carnage. I believe this was the last time they ran a race on a Sunday afternoon.
not surprised to see Rudolph get the win down there... Big D is quite similar to his home track at Ransomville.

Hey why not design your dirt track to where your front stretch faces directly west into the evening setting sun, which is when most short track races take place, so that the drivers are mostly blinded by the sun and dust creating highly dangerous conditions? Great planning!
Wrong again. This was the last time they ran a regular show on a sunday. They used to run 2 or so shows at the beginning of the season on Sundays. The regular season runs on Friday night and the sun is not a issue. So put away the tissues.
I'd like to take that group to Ci Ci's. Just to see how much damage they could do.
yea I'm not sure why this wreck was as bad as it was like did they not have the racecievers at that track or what or did the track officials just wanna see a big ass wreck
Ignorant comment. Track was dusty, setting sun in the drivers eyes, no visibility.

Comment reported ! They run the regular shows on fridays. Usually done by 11pm. Friday is not the weekend.

Not really possible when you have the low level of traction that dirt gives you.
Dude, if you want everyone to drive slow, don't watch this. Go watch yourself drive.
