I am about to fit a similar Sony unit in my 987.2 which also has the CDR30. I have purchased the Incartec kit that you have too.
Did you have to swap the red and yellow leads over ( constant and switched) or are they ok 'out of the box' ?
I don't have steering wheel control either so assume like you I don't need the Universal Patch lead.

as far as I remember if I didnt mention it in the video, I never swapped the leads over.

Great video. I have the same kit and car. How did you connect the Porsche quad lock adapter to the patch cable in the kit? Thanks

Hi Gary, I never used the patch cable as I don’t have a multifunction steering wheel.

@@micaerin thanks for getting back to me Mike. It was the big radio replacement adapter cable I was struggling with. It looked like it should not fit the block I disconnected from the Porsche header unit but it does fit! Also, I needed to fit the external GPS and microphone as this is needed for Wireless CarPlay. All works a treat now though!
