Great vid. Love my X1 AMD, I also bought a legon go but returned it. Didnt really see a need for it when I would always grab the X1. I did get my X1 from Aliexpress for 988 during the special for the 1TB 32GB version.
Thanks Man, Really Apprecited your videos❤ Can you try Play Black Myth Wukong Please in your next video, we really curious how the performance will be.
Bro ever since I got my X1 8840U and been able to see everything soo clear and big and beautiful 😍 I find it very difficult to go back to my other smaller handheld 😥
I'm trying to make the jump on something like this or the rog ally x. I will invest limitless time to enjoy a windows based handheld like using playnite or dual OS but you cant change too much things like screen size/quality , battery life, and weight. Looking for all in one setup. I used to always rock my switch with a thin gripcase (big grips in the back) cause ergonomics are king. Casual 3 hours of playtime on battery before using a batterypack on the go would be my goal. In the video you were using the ipad for a big display gaming experience does this beat that now? also does it beat out the point in having a mini? I'm just so curious to know if it will fit these things cause if so it'll be more versaitle than surface pro or laptop for me.
The 8840u is the BEST 3in1 device out right now! I’ve been using it nonstop for the past few days and there’s nothing like it. If you need and all in one, this is the one. The Mini is a better handheld, but the Big X1 does it all.
Please test it vs. other handheld laptop hybrids like the GPD. I already have the Legion Go and happy with it, but I'm still interested what my future handheld/laptop/all-in-one amalgamation could look like.
@BarelyAverageDude The usual game tests, but also "Keyboard" and "Productivity" Check the keyboard layout if it is good, if there's no strange keys in the wrong places (I encountered a keyboard where the Delete key replaced Backspace - it's a nightmare) and how well it types, if you don't need to push too hard to register keys etc. For productivity, these super small screens face the issue that the apps just can't fit onscreen, so hey, maybe try out DaVinci Resolve or Google Docs if the UI fits without resorting cursed very small scaling. Of course these are gaming-first handhelds, but since these companies are marketing these as productivity tools as well, I think it's fair to try it out.
Hey there, I'd be really interested in a comparison between this one and the Asus Rog Ally X in terms of fan noise and software support. The Ally X is phenomenal in both aspects but this one seems really intriguing with the 3-1 concept.
Could you please test games like cyberpunk2077 and a few others at 800p review how it looks gaming at that res, i use a leigon go and its fine at 800p so wondering how the experience is. Would love to see an in depth explanation about the 800p in the next video and if its good or bad as i dont think no youtuber has actually talked about it yet.
So i hear in the news that after the windows update ryzen 7 en 9 wil get a big performance boost. Up to 10% increase. This should also effect the handhelds. Sooo soon all handhelds wil be even better 😮
Hi, is the PC console ergonomic if I play on my sofa? Does this matter in terms of its weight, without resting my wrists on a table? What I like is that I could emulate the Switch, PS3 and that I could also play strategy games with a mouse and on the big screen.
I saw in the business news there is talk of Intel splitting up as it's struggling, its share price went up by 10% due to the prospect. A case of being too big and innovation suffering? AMD currently has the handheld PC market to itself.
SSD upgrade on X1 AMD version Hi all, Could somebody tell me if it’s possible to swap the SSD of the X1 AMD version. I’ve read that the intel one has glass panels that break easily when trying to access the internals, but a OneX representative on YT referred to the AMD version as being ‘upgradeable’ and it’s also mentioned on their former IGG page. I just ordered the 1tb version, assuming I could put my own 4TB SSD in, but am kinda worried now that the whole swap will damage my device (I’m not handy).
Great question! I actually just put a 4tb SSD into my X1. Planning to do a video on it soon. But yes there are glass panels on the back that break easily. I found that you need a heat gun to loosen the adhesive in order to get them off without damage. It’s the same for intel and AMD X1 Kinda good news is that onexplayer sells replacement glass panels for $9 a pair 😳
@@BarelyAverageDude oh dang it i thought it would have an empty slot to just plug and play, well thankyou for the info! i guess have to get the 64gb option instead
Haha no! I've done it. If you have an M chip iPad it will run ANY game in the App Store. And then you can easily stream games from Xbox or your PS5 to it and it works really well. Apple are beginning to make gaming more of a thing for them, so it will be interesting to see where it goes. Plus the biggest games market on the planet is the mobile phone games market. One day, your phone will be as powerful as these handheld PC's and run the same games.

gpd win max 2 8840 says : FINALLY, A WORTHY OPPONENT !!!
Win max 2 is still unmatched at being a laptop. X1 is just slightly better as a handheld and can be a tablet.

It did not come with the connector. I bought it separately from Amazon
