I’m hoping to move here later next year! Cant wait! Leaving Alberta to get a change of scenery after 43 years!

Great more congestion on our now utterly clogged roads. I rarely meet a fellow islander anymore!!!

@@kevindean1327 haha I don’t drive anyway so you won’t have to worry about clogged roads!

@@kevindean1327 I feel bad tho if people like us who aren’t from the island are the reason your rent and stuff is getting higher.. if I knew that for sure that one person moving changed that I probably wouldn’t bother moving..! I’d feel guilty

@@kevindean1327 I know right I also hope the bring bags of cash because there home back in Alberta is going to be 3 times the price here.

The views are nice but seeing as your from Alberta you will pull your hair out when the city shuts down because we got 5 inches of snow. I have been thinking of moving to Edmonton because of the high cost of living and the fact I can get a house there for 1/3 the price.

Add some homeless will spice it up a bit. Since it is warmer I am sure Alberta homeless will find enjoying here

Unfortunately can’t argue that. Despite the problem we have with that Nanaimo is still a beautiful city ❤️

But we need a better police force and not RCMP

The City council is the worst part of the City. Nanaimo is the highest taxed city on Vancouver Island at 3004 per person and Victoria is second on the island at 2246 per person

HAHAHAHAHA this guy is joker, just don't move here!
When talks about affordability he is only comparing it to Vancouver. The price of land is way too high that is why all real estate is thru the moon makes me almost want to move somewhere more affordable. A home here that is 800k is 330k in like Edmonton. And on the note of adorability food prices are also above the national and BC average here this fact was just talked about on CBC radio. I would also say unless your retiring soon or make 6 figures say away from this place it's not worth the moving expense. Weather wise the summer gets 40 and any snow will shout this place down.

Thanks for your comment Miko of the North! Would you like us to refer you to a Realtor in Edmonton that can help you make the move? 😄
