You have a beautiful town. I visited last week and stayed downtown. People so nice, very clean, great food, and so much today. I think it's special.

What's strange about Nanaimo is that the locals have very little curiosity about people, places or things. A very insular people, with a touch of xenophobia. I can't say I would recommend it for living, or less you yourself have little desire for socializing, and want to live a life with a very limited world view.

Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain rain and more dark dreary days with yet more rain…and damn bone chilling damp cold thats Nanaimo 6 months of the year! You forgot to mention that. But!!!! the trails are wickedly awesome, with thick lush green plant life…just be sure to get a rain suit! Truly a nice place to visit! nice to go back to the sunshine anywhere else in Canada as well though. British Columbia, BC = bring cash! Facts!
