@@sushiacid the lead singer did some very very very bad things and is in prison for many years
@@Kevintendo no shit
@@sushiacid cool:) glad you know already. I thought the multiple question marks were directed at OP not the first reply
If people could stop talking about Ian Watkins here, that'd be great.
Exactly!
Ian who?
caboose22320 Ian Watkins, from Steps.
caboose22320
Look him up.
Sorry for the ignorance.
Big fan of Lostprophets, but this is not my music. I am disappointed, but i am glad for the guys that they are move forward. I wish them all the luck for the future.
Respect to these guys for continuing with music after all the shit they went through, I'm glad they're not letting some disgusting prick ruin their career. I hope they do well.
OMFG S.T. F.U!!! they did all this to him but that can't register unless you have a well functioning brains which, obviously is not the case😅😂
Geoff Rickly!!!! :) everything he touches is gold. Miss Thursday so much, so it's always nice hearing him on new projects.
I love Geoff's vocals on this and it is nothing like the old Lostprophets stuff but that's what I like about it....I think the prophets boys deserve a clean start and that is exactly what this is and I can't wait to hear more from them :-)
Sounds like a song from the end credits of an 80's brat pack film. Nice vibe.
Anything done with Geoff Rickly is perfection. If you don't like this, i'm sure you will enjoy United Nations.
I'm really proud of Jamie, Stu, Luke, Lee and Mike for moving on and keep doing music, really I can't explain how happy I am for them, and I wish them the best with this new project.
I love how this song sounds, and I can't wait to hear more. It really pisses me off reading people who are still expecting the "old Lostprophets sound". c'mon guys, I think it's time to get over it. Don't get me wrong, I do LOVE their first two records and Lostprophets was, and will be, a big part of me, but this is a new band, Lostprophets will only remain in our memories now. Let's keep our minds open to new music
Glad to see the boys getting on with things!
Words can't describe how happy I am
i was a big Prophets fan I gotta be honest this aint really my cup of tea but still good luck to you lads you deserve it hope everything pans out well for you and thanks for the good times
More fans need the maturity and respect that you have. Well done
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I'm a big Thursday fan and it's also a pretty big departure from what Geoff Rickly did there as well.
wow, you may be one of the only genuine modern day music fans around, congrats
Lost Prophets and Thursday are Two of my favorite bands and I've followed Geoff with his other side projects like United Nations which is one of my favorite Power violence Hardcover bands. So this was slightly out of left field but I love anything that guy touches his solo acoustic not so much.
It's great to see Two of my favorite bands together and I literally cried when both bands ended Ian was an idol until the news came out he can burn in hell but I will never get the chance to see them perfom.... this gives me hope.
You made the right choice guys. Forget the past. On & up.
Geoff said not too long ago that the influence they have is like new order and bands like that, do you research before getting your hopes up about an album like "start something" that's long gone with old Ian Watkins.. New era for these guys and I'm loving it.
Glad to see Lostprophets keep going!
Kinda always felt Geoff's voice could carry a synthy pop track well.
It's not synth pop.
TrueNihilism It's very synth pop.
ohalistair I disagree, sound what New Order would've sounded like if they were American and from 2003
ohalistair I disagree, sound what New Order would've sounded like if they were American and from 2003
xvaughanx with a splash of JMC
Damn. I think I've just found my new favorite song.
Absolutely right. I'll have this song in my head all day looooong!
Love Geoff's voice 👌👌👌🎤
Love it. Didn't know if they could come back without Watkins. But I like it.
They didn't yall are absolutely delusional
if you guys are sad over the fact it doesn't sound like lostprophets then look at the artist. it's no devotion not lost prophets
Its like a softer Angels and Airwaves
Fun fact: the drummer of AVA is a former Lostprophets member too, LOL.
I cannot stop listening to this song! I'll admit I was expecting something more like lostprophets, but I'm enjoying this song more than any of their old stuff, and I was a huge lostprophets fan.
I'm not exactly sure why I like this.
I was a huge fan of Lostprophets. i wish the lads a great time and lots of success with no devotion.
this song, plus the b-side track are very good
Wait, they don't love you like I love you....
Vuelvan a subir su álbum a Spotify POR FAVOOOOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is like beat for beat EXACTLY the same as Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's!
The song is incredibly similar to Maps. I thought I was the only person who noticed there for a while.
ninjalemurdude Damn right
There's more than one indie rock song with similar drum patterns. You're right about the similarities, but Maps is hardly unique in that respect and I doubt the band set out to copy it, lol. They have probably just been into a lot of indie alternative.
Glad you're back guys. Good luck.
Back in the ring! Up and kicking. This is amazing.
Saw these guys last night they are a million times better live!!
This song is still one of the most important things in my life, as a former lostprophets fan, when it came out, and how great it is. I wish this gang would collab again, but until then, I have the vinyls on my wall.
Finally the lostprophets guys rise from there ashes....#awesomekickass return
My boyfriend, a Welshman, is beyond excited that you boys kept on writing, for what is a victory without struggle? The welsh conquer all and with Jocko on the drums, it is just even better. You boys gave us the idea that regular guys and girls could be successful regardless of who they are.
I really like this and ok it doesn't sound much like LP, but I guess that's the whole idea. Best of luck to the guys, they deserve a break after the past years drama.
you know what? i'm kinda glad they sortof reformed. this is so much better than anything ian wrote
Has a psychedelic vibe, says "we just want to make music." Understood you guys since late 2012.
This makes me so happy.
This is proof that greatness will always prevail.
The passion is real and I can't wait to see more amazing things come from these gentlemen.
I met Stuart in Revs in Cardiff one drunken night. A real nice guy. I wish you all the best in your new band. Put the bad behind you and good luck moving forward.
Stay with me and forget... Yes.. Lets stay with NoD and forget the old singer...enjoy the new songs as well as the old :D
And THAT'S how a comeback is done!!! Glad to see these guys at their REAL potential!!!
Finding it hard to believe this is Geoff Rickly... digging it though!
I've loved Thursday for forever now, even sporting a tattoo of them. But I grew up and got less edgy and "hardkore", and Geoff's (the lead singer) progression mirrors mine.
Good song, can't wait to hear more.
So true...but hearing old bands still lets me know im living....
Love 🖤
Por favor pónganlo en Spotify!!!!!!! 🙏🏻
Fucking brilliant! This is the comeback everyone's been waiting for, NO DEVOTION!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it! Definitely teared up a bit here guys. Much love. Can't wait to catch you on tour!
This is exactly what I needed to hear! Having an off day so this made things better. So happy to hear the boys back, and the singing works too. Loving this more than I probably even should, but it just makes me emotional and happy.
Geoff Rickly can't do anything wrong
Agreed. He is a music god walking the earth among mortals!
I agree with both of you!
He helped My Chemical Romance form themselves when Gerard barely knew how to sing
Stay, except you, Ian Watkins. You can go away.
You can go really far away.
Pretty decent song. Kinda has an early 80's New Wave vibe to it. Looking forward to hearing more, and it's good to see the LP guys rise from the trauma created by Ian Watkins.
Good to hear these guys making music again. Very different sound and loving the vocals from Geoff :) look forward to hearing more x
Welcome back guys we missed you
They didn't repeat the chorus enough.
So happy the best band ever is back, I'm sure they'll comeback better than before and they will keep inspiring people
Never felt so happy
Considering everything that has gone on this is an amazing way to rise above. Good work lads. Onwards and upwards.
this reminds me of Danger Days and i love it
i knew i wasnt the only one that thought that XD
This isn't Thursday or the Lost Prophets so stop asking for that music.
Love it. So good. Glad to see Lee, Stu, Jamie, Mike & Luke are back and sounding even better than before.
As a Nightwish fan, I assure you, we're never going to stop talking about it.
Can't wait to hear more. I hope these guys do well. I definitely think they will to be honest. Great sound.
I really want these guys to do well with this band. They deserve it
Please put this back on Apple Music.
Love this!!
Was always a big lostprophets fan and i'm so glad they are putting all the shit they've gone through behind them. Really hope it works out for them with this project
Love it!
Absolutely brilliant song.
Don't know what it is about this song, but I kinda like it. The first minute was a little slow in gaining my interest; once the chorus kicked up the beat, I found myself bouncing along with it.
Okay, I now LOVE this song. Bought it yesterday with Eyeshadow - pretty cool track. I think it's the weird 80s/90s vibe this band has that really works for me. I can hear New Order, Depeche Mode, even a little bit of Billy Idol going on with these guys.
The first time I went to a concert and the guest weren't bad. Always good to knew new amazing bands like this one. Good show last Friday in Brixton.
Yea I will take Thursday over this any day of the week. I didn't care for lostprophets before the change.
Get this going the future is bright 🔆👌🔆👌🔆👌🔆
I love this song. Its a completely different sound to their old one. I think its good that they move into a different genre. Even if it was for terrible circumstances
I'm digging this. If you're looking for lost prophets/Thursday hybrid then move on. Cool new wave vibe goin on
Wishing you all the best No Devotion!
On a side note, I love this tattoo it's clever, definitely want to adapt it for myself.
definitely hearing a New Order influence
The whole album is darker imo. Addition and I want to be your God are my favourites. Can't wait to hear more because it's looking like they're gonna play around with a bunch of new stuff, and it's awesome to hear that they still love the music they play
Never really listened to Lostprophets but this is cool.
I was hoping for a resurrection of lostprophets with their style but it seems like they've took the 30 Seconds to Mars route with Geoff. Disappointed in this but they could still release a few good songs with their old style and it's great they're diversifying their music. Good luck to them
Glad it's not just me with the 30 secs to Mars thing
Right, how dare they try something new!
Kinda how I feel. I have mixed feeling about the single.
30 Seconds to Mars? I really get a New Order vibe to this. It's really different to most Thursday and Lostprophets but Geoff Rickly's solo music had a sound similar to this. I think this could be a refreshing change.
Nhoj Got a We are Scientists vibe as well in the chorus
This is an awesome first single. Well done guys keep it up
Wow, hearing Rickly sing in a pop band is really weird, but I dig it.
How are they a pop band? Search for "Lostprophets - We Still Kill The Old Way" and see how "popy" they are. But yeah this song is pop, crap in other words.
zarko stanic this isn't lostprophets though.
and no, pop does not = crap.
I meant more so the song than the band. I like some pop music though so I wouldn't say it's crap.
XiaYu09 I didn't say that pop is shit (even thought that it looked like i did...), and yes, this guys are Lostprophets, with a new singer.
zarko stanic a band is more than just its members, it's their approach too. they're approaching this from an entirely different angle to 'prophets, so you can't say "no they're not pop, listen to this 'prophets song". from what we can tell so far this band is pop, what their old band was like has nothing to do with it.
This is really good and I was hoping it would be! If ever a bunch of guys needed to shake off the past (which they'll sadly never do). I'm glad it's not Lost Prophets 2.0 as there wouldn't have been any point in that and it's just a really good pop/rock song (Also nice to hear Geoff sing like that away from the usual blood curdling roar). Congratulations guys, hopefully the album will be more of the same!!
Totally different to what I expected, but I'm really digging this track. Hope everything works out for you guys with the new band, because if anyone deserves a new start, it's you guys!
From the ashes rises the phoenix that is No Devotion not my words I read that somewhere. Sad song but I like it.
Best song I've heard in a long time!
I love this song, you can really hear the influences of Joy Division, New Order and The Cure. I'm glad these talented musicians have moved on from the crimes of Ian Watkins. They deserve to carry on making amazing music and they've found an amazing vocalist with Geoff Rickly!

welcome back my heroes....great song...thank you very much for making new music no matter what the circumstances be!....great song..mature sound..cant wait to listen to your other new songs ..keep on rocking \m/
This is actually a really good song. If you still listen to some of the old LP songs, go ahead and do so. Some of their songs were outstanding and it would be similar to relate the old music to a breakup. Yeah, it hurts to think about it but there were also some good moments as well. Best wishes to No Devotion.
Thank you!
I like this song, it’s very cool!. Keep you’re head up guys 💕
This song is beautiful.
Sounds like a mix of the killers with MCR and LP mixed in there i am shocked with how well it works can't wait for more music from LP 2.0
LP 2.0! haha I like it.
Or... you know Thursday, Geoff's old band before he started this.. kinda sounds like that to me (might just be because of his voice)
Totally does!
Andrew Jaggar
Neh. The softer stuff off of Thursday's last album, maybe, but it's still pretty far from what Thursday was. Not in a bad way though, it's just different.
Exactly, I'm still unsure about them personally.. i'd like to hear some heavier stuff I think, whether or not we'll get it.. or it'll all be softer/poppier stuff who knows.
Great band! I love their songs 'Last Train Home' and 'Rooftops'
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
ummm, nooo
Cynthia Z Wat
not gonna lie,I'm kind of a mess right now. But this is bloody brilliant!
this is so good. i hope they find an official singer with same vocal style with Geoff. that'd be awesome.
You guys rock and keep doing what you do big thumbs up from cardiff
I quite like this. I think it's good for a first single. Interested to see what the rest of their stuff will be like.
I am digging this because you get a different spin on the LP sound with the post-punk soul that Geoff Rickly has been able to express in a way that few have before or after. Yes, i hear the sythn pop influence that is around now, yet this feels so much more genuine that because of the vocals and the beat. The way the middle guitar riff is put in, reminds me of the Killers in a good way.
I'm glad the LP guys are carrying on making music. It can be hard to come back from a knock like the one Watkins gave them. This track sounds like they have potential and plenty of room for growth.
THis sounds very good to me, it feels refreshing and optimistic.
