- After about 6 month, I've finally hit the limit of the WIld4Sau based on the incredible THE100 from @MattThePrintingNerd ! No matter what I try, I can't get any faster...
Inside the Beast:
4pcs LDO2504
48V Meanwell powersupply @52V
TMC5160 for driving the steppers and the extruder motor!
Hotend is a modified Phaetus Rapido UHF V1.0 (up to 113m³/s)
Extruder is a modified Voron M4 powerd by a 48mm stepper
Filament .... PLA what else ;-) ... 250 - 260C
Slicer ... ORCA
Speed about 900mm/s
Accel about 240.000mm/s²
A big thanks goes out to @MattThePrintingNerd and @3DStuart-kf4gg

Hello Volker, really great film... Yes, the Wild4Sau is an outstanding printer that almost broke the sound barrier of 2 minutes. Your printer was optimized every two weeks, great work from you!👍 And now off to new shores... BSO under 1 minute...😂
Thank you so much Stuart! But it still drives me crazy that you got this 2:56 BSO with just two motors!!!! This is a real good job!
Congrats, great speedboat time!
Thanks Stephen ... story will be continued with "The WildSau Reborn" ... this one will hopefully shave off some more seconds in the future ;-)
ok, this is REALLY close to sub 2 minutes. Tuning your drivers according to the trinamics docs and increasing your temp by 10c might do it...
I really tried hard ... and I also spent hours of hours on these TMC parameters to max out performance. In the end its an vibration issue ... but I already started a new project to get a sub 2min one ... hopefully :-)
Any info on the "modified Rapido UHF" you're using?
I'm thinking about a tech video, maybe this could be a part of.
