This worked! I tried the green tea one and finally my cake rose well all spongy and I used cake tin straps too. My issue earlier was my cake was flat and I wasn't beating it long enough - no where near 8mins thank you

Maybe it didn't fluff properly. Make sure the water in hot temp, over 80~100 degrees Celsius. 1/4tsp of baking powder will help to make stable fluffiness,
What brand of pan do you use? Does it have to be dark coloured fir the recipe to be effective? Because I tried it two times and my cake does not rise as much as yours did 😥

My batter deflate so much after milk +butter process. I did put it in while the batter n milk slightly warm. Is it bc of that? It so thin with heigh around 6cm height only.
so, i just tried this, twice. The first one is failure bcs i didn't beat the egg long enough, so the cake won't raise. The second attempt is so-so, the bottom didn't spongy enough, but the top is good. I followed the recipe and the instructions, i don't change anything except the pan, i used 10cm pan. when it comes to cake or cupcakes i always fail. not sure if this will help, but i heard a tip that your baking items should be suuuuupeer clean otherwise ur stuff won't rise, but if this isn't true, you can try adding some baking powder to it, like a teaspoon maybe.

As the sweetness for me was just right I didn't add more. Try it only if you have an electric mixer, you can't whisk the batter without it, it's too hard. Good luck!!!!

I did it too and it went flat 😬 I think it's because of the butter/milk that is on the description but in the video we don't see her put it on it so idk 😶

She took out a little bit of the batter to mix with the milk and butter mixture before putting it all back in the batter, this is to prevent shocking the batter if you just straight away pour in the butter and milk. If you just pour it in straight away, it might not be as fluffy when it is out of the oven.
I think one is that you need to make sure you mix gently when incorporating the flour or the other powder. secondly, before you put it in the oven don't drop it so many times, because you just one the air bubbles on the surface to leave but not all of it. Then when it comes out of the oven, you need to drop it once more to shock the cake to prevent it from deflating. Lastly when you take it out of the pan to cool, cool it upside down on a rack to prevent it from deflating too much.
