And it was a pain in the ass, u need to keep down, feint upper cuts, knees, etc. Volk literally stand in front of him like it was nothing. Its even worse when we can see how Ilia exposes his lower body so much with his counters, a good wrestler can take advantage of that, jus like Bryce did with the single leg takedowns, but he just have no gas tank.

Interesting I thought the stigma was that Whittaker was winning the 1st until the wheel kick. Imo I liked Whittakers performance but it was scary asf when he got into the phone booth knowing his chin and especially after the wheel kick. But I was very impressed w Whittaker’s chin the blitz and his boxing looked much more crisp. Maybe not as clean of a fight but I think it was a good showing. He utilised his blitz extremely well paired w his blitz his ability to counter was very good. But what was scary to me was his willingness in the pocket. I wish Costa gets back in the quick he looked he impressive tbh I hope he gets back in there Costa is very good when he is switched on

I’m a diehard Khabib fan and I agree I’d rather face Khabib than Merab. MAINLY because if Khabib gets a hold of me, he will probably end me with a submission or ground-and-pound. But Merab doesn’t seem to wanna end fights prematurely. Merab performed great, i loved that fight, Merab wants it bad, Merab has great energy. Whitiker/Costa was technical, not very exciting, not boring, but not exciting, no man really went for it.
