what a joy, what a joy, what a joy, what a joy what a joyful sound the Beat are one of the best ever bar none if you were there in 79 and 80 I am sure you will agree. I was 14 in 1979 and totally hypnotised by their wonderful rhythmic tines.
Absolute stand out track from The Beat in my opinion which embodies the spirit of those of us who were teens in the late 70's and early 80's. Sadly, Roger may be gone but this track ensures he will never be forgotten....Ranking Full Stop a very close second.
...Over the past week, I've been processing our loss. He was a year younger than me, which kind of registered. Except, it was a Good Life. In the Thatcher-Reagan era, he truly did good work. I can't believe that he has not found his reward.
Hard to believe that it was over 30 years ago that I first heard this track on KROQ in SoCal. The whole album is great and plays like a greatest hits collection. Stood the test of time, for sure!
I grew up with this music and loved every minute of it, it is the foundation of my record collection, I have every rec ord of the beat, madness. the specials aka, selecter.
A lot of them were just versions of 1960s original ska records, rocked up a little, also very simple melodies - a brilliant way to introduce new fans to the music
yeah, loved it, missed it, found it, LOVING IT!!! Hip Hip Hurray indeed!!! You should put this song as your wake-up song, your days have never been this good, I promise :D
One of my favourite tracks from a brilliant album ,never tire of this song ,so good 👍
