I lived on the street most of this was shot on. It was a nightmare. Lots of balls were never picked up. My plants were trampled, and the balls picked up dirt on the street, leaving dirt polka dots on all the buildings that had to be pressure washed to be cleaned off. A beautiful result, but amazing to think how all of this would be done in CGI now.
Watching this back, I was thinking - I really hoped they had the plan to clean the balls up! The neighbourhood would've been a mess! Sounds like that was exactly what happened. How many balls were left uncollected?
Sky Sports in the UK are running the same ad but replacing the rubber balls with tennis balls, obviously using CGI but nothing like as good as the original
