Our next video will be a major update on the GMC Motorhome rebuild. We can’t wait to share!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week 🙂
Loved it ❤️🌞
I read the comment by the last owner goodness such a beautiful car and story. Only 3 others owned it total before y'all got it. Can't wait to see it back on the road and find the former owners families and let them see and drive black beauty
I wonder if you would be willing to restore the car and then sell it back to the original owner. He seems really heartbroken by it's loss.
Every Day when i check RUclips i pray that theres a new Video of your Buildz. Thank you for that one. That Car is a former Beauty. Great that you decided it to rebuild.
love your content. Thanks for your effort and dedication. wonderful week to you too
I am the last owner of the car. Man; watching that video makes me sad and happy at the same time. Happy to see it revived but sad I had to let it go. I really loved that car; maybe too much. The video was excellent and I can't wait to see it finished. So glad that you posted the pictures so everyone could see how magnificent she was and will be again. Thanks!!!!
How did it catch fire?
How long did you have it what is the history ?❤️🌞
And was it a funeral car?
How did the fire happen?
Fire inspector said he thought it was carburetor. That's all I was told. It always ran and drove fine. No problems. It sputtered and stopped running that day then came the smoke so we 3 senior citizens jumped out with a quickness. I had it 4 yrs. Came from Kentucky from 82 yr old who brought it from family that owned it originally. Was not a funeral car although 82 yo said a funeral home tried to buy it off him before I bought it. It always got attention anytime I took it for a drive. I've been looking for another one but they are hard to find. At least I got to enjoy it as long as I did.
I really want to see you restore this Buick back to factory condition.
Absolutely GORGEOUS Beautiful Big Buick
It's good to see a car being saved, looks like it was the guys pride and joy from the pictures
We sure hope we can do it justice! 🙂
So happy you're rescuing this beautiful Buick!
We’re excited to be able to bring it back 😊 and to bring everyone along with us on the journey!
Bringing cars back to their former glory is a great boost to your viewers and subscribers! That's one reason I love your videos. Oh yes, I love the interaction with your dad as well!!!
I worked at a gas station back in the early seventies my boss had one just like it same color and everything we would drive it to the lake every Sunday going fishing. This brought back great memories thanks for sharing 👍👍
That's 2 cars that had burtn motors and still run it amazes me good job guys happy to see this running again after years
Great find guys!! Can't wait to see it all finished up!!
Looking forward to seeing you bring back this grand old Buick. I can only imagine the heartbreak the former owners felt when they watched it burn.
What a handsome rig. Such a nice car. So sad for the previous owner. Really cool they've been in touch and I bet they're be happy it's in your hands to see it have a 2nd life!! Can't wait to follow your work on this in upcoming posts.
Looking forward to seeing you finish this one!
Can’t wait to share more! We plan to have this one knocked out quickly!
I am so glad to hear that you are going to restore this one. I don't think it will actually take all that much. This is a really nice car. I'm glad you decided to save it from Copart. It would have probably been scrapped if you hadn't.
I would love to see that beautiful car restored!
Love your show, especially working with your dad!
I would love to see this car get a front clip repaint. It deserves it.
That's what they said they'd do. Didn't you watch the video?
We most definitely feel the same! 😊
@Lucas_Tulic I'm just saying it would be nice to watch, yes I watched the video.
Hey hey y'all! What a gorgeous machine! I read Joey's comment on owning this car and it truly broke my heart for him. I've never had the honor of owning anything such as this and I can promise you that what happened with this auto would devastate me. I love cars and trucks almost as much as I do my dogs..... and that's a LOT! Great seeing you guys again and now that I have FINALLY been able to get into my own car, I'm hoping that with us having some warmer weather coming soon, I can get by for a visit! Happy birthday to me on Thursday so I suppose I'll be celebrating....solo 😞. Take care everyone! 💙🙏🏼
Hey Micheal that car used to sit across the road from my house all the time. She was a beaut! My brother towed it in from the burn. He sent me pictures of it on the rollback to send to you and I sent them to you in your email. Keep up the great videos!
Congratulations on having the successful bid on this beauty, she couldn’t be in better hands, can’t wait for the next instalment Michael, let’s hope that knocking issue is fairly evident, and an easy fix for you, either way I know you and your dad will give it your best 👍🙂
I certainly would like to see more on this electra 225, I had a 65 GS with the 401 nailhead in it , had a holley double pumper on it, had some great times in that car, your buick is certainly worth the restoration, good luck with it.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! That car definitely deserves to be saved! What a time capsule, I’m so happy you guys have this car, I know you’ll do this ol girl justice! I’ll be watching for sure! Thanks again from a Buick lover!
Electra 225 & Olds 98 Luxury Sedans were alternatives to Cadillacs back then. Popular with people who thought Cadillacs were too flashy. Another outstanding video!
Heck yes we want to see you bring her back. She’s a beautiful Buick.
What a beautiful car, thankfully it wasn't burned to the ground! Looking forward to seeing you guys bring her back, hopefully that motor can be saved. If anyone can do it, you fellas can! Thanks to the previous owner for sharing those pics of her in her glory, can't wait to see what you guys do .
I am glad you decided to do a complete restoration, that is a beautiful car and deserves to be brought back to it's former glory. But I also want to see your GMC motor home get some progress as well.
Absolutely a beautiful car. My dad had many of the old Buicks, I myself have had at least 25 or so. She is a gem. Thank you for not letting it go to a salvage yard. Well worth the time and effort to bring her back to her glory.
Buicks were a part of my upbringing. I grew up in Oshawa Ontario where GM would pump out Buicks among other cars and brands.
Even with the damage, this is a beautiful car. I would love to have been able to see it before the fire. The previous owner clearly took good care of it and loved it. I know they were sick over letting it go. I am surprised they did though. Put a few grand into this one, and you will have a show piece.
Glad you saved the car. Beautiful beast!
love this rescue, what a beautiful car, she deserves to be restored , Glads you found her
Definitely! It actually looks better than some of the projects we get up to in our channel. We have a 69 charger coming up that is much much much worse than this haha. Love budget buildz. They are really liking burnt cars more and more
Man, that car sounded great when she started up! Reminds me a bit of my first car, a 1981 Continental two door. I do miss driving these land yachts. Another great show!
Love 💕 the sounnd of the nail Head Buick! Coming to life.
Beautiful car.definitely would keep and restore.
Wow guys!! Another wise purchase looks like! You guys never cease to amaze me! They don't make cars like this anymore, so much long straight metal and beautiful trim work and you can't beat black! I can't wait to see what it looks like when y'all are done with it! Keep up the good work!
That is a very gorgeous Buick. Such a classy car. I love it !
What a great looking car. It will be even better when it's done
I remember driving in riding in those early Buicks back then those things floated😊
A real American car. I just love your videos. Good job
This is going to be my favorite rescue. I can't wait for the next video. Good luck with it!
Great vid!! My Mom had one just like it in the 60's! Only difference was color, light metallic blue. Great memories 👍
Having owned several 401 nailheads Rivieras, LeSabres etc. An old school set of Corvair type 'Turbo' muffler duals produces the deepest sweetest sound you ever heard from a V8. My 63 LeSabre convert is still remembered as being called 'Thunder' by those whom heard her 30 years ago.
Awesome! Looking FWD to this series. Beautiful car and it deserves the love. Well done guys! Save this one!
Great 👍 job getting it running again!.
Mike, I love your channel!! I wish you had episodes more often(at least once a week), and were more like an hour at a time. I can’t seem to get enough-haha.
Great to have the full story. This is going to be a great series, really looking forward to it
Man she’s definitely one beautiful car! She definitely deserves to be restored to original factory specs. And I’m pretty sure you will do an amazing job bringing it back to her former glory. That was awesome seeing you guy’s getting that engine started! Always amazed by your work! Can’t wait to see more updates for that beauty! Great job guy’s!👌😎👍 Man those pictures in the end!👌🥰👍
15:44 nice. this one is worth going the extra mile, love it
An absolutely awesome score mate ... bring it back to it's former glory
This channel just gets better and better
Looking forward to this car getting restored a beautifully peace of American automobile
Very happy to see this one getting restored to factory, shes a stunning car and as so much of the rest if it is still in great condition its worthy, to the previous owner Joey so sorry this happened to your pride and joy but hey look its getting a new lease on life 😊
She's going to be so beautiful when you guys finish her can't wait to see your progress thanks for taking us with you!
My friend’s dad a 1964 Electra 225 in 1964. It was a dark green exterior and I think a gray interior. I had a ride once and I remember the comfort and smoothness of the ride. This brings back some memories! Excellent as always Mike and your Dad!
Gotta save this bad boy! Love these old electra's
cannot wait too what you and your dad do with this sweet ride
❤just restor this one, nice interior paint combo was clearly a mint car before the fire
I love this car and I definitely want to see more of this 1964 Buick Electrica 225 this car is so awesome looking other then the front and engine bay caching on fire and being burnt but I definitely have confidence that you guys can and will bring her back and get get her up and running and back on the road again 😊
Man that's the American dream on those pics big house big car
🤩🤩🤩 Amazing
That car is sheer beauty!!!!
I'd go with "Presidential" What a gorgeous old cruiser.
Beautiful Car and Really Enjoy All your videoes--- Would be Great to see this Buick restored to Original condition --And Sold back to the Owner --and make sure to throw in a couple Fire Extinguishers!!
Duce and a quarter definitely deserves saving.
We’re very excited to save it! 🙂
@@BudgetBuildzkind of looks like Jayne Mansfields car.
What a beautiful car ,god i miss all the nice crome on these older cars.
That car is too beautiful to not be fully restored.
This has got to be the "newest" looking car on this channel.. 😉😉
All things considered, you've got a beautiful Buick for $800. I can see you being Dad's chauffeur. It's a great car to take the family out.
Wow!! What an absolute cruiser... I can't believe how nice that thing is. Once you have torn it down and got her back to full health a cruise video to a show or to go get another project - somewhere a couple hundred miles away would be great to see! Or why don't you go visit the original owner with it!!
Beautiful car! One of my favorite models. "Respectable people" drove six window sedans.
Well it makes me sad see this beautiful car burnt but I am so glad you guys got your hands on it now it's going to be back up and going again I have no questions about it
I'm glad you saved the old Buick Electra it's a nice looking automobile it needs another chance at life we love antique cars and trucks my wife and I do love what you and your dad does with them keep them coming and keep saving them and keep up the good work yall did love to get the car but don't have the finances to buy it from yall I been subscribed to your channel for awhile now and like every episode
It's an excellent tool, thank you, I even enjoyed watching it and it must be really exciting to work with it, we are eagerly waiting for your new videos.
Great rescue.
I love the black with silver gray interior
That car must have been absolutely gorgeous when new! It still is. I don't think any options were omitted on it. Michael's happy dance (happy shrug) at 21:34 and the pix at the end make a great video even better.
Love that big old boat!👍
What a gem❤. I’m glad you decided to restore it to former glory.
Mike , I know you and Dad will do this car Justice !!! It's already a GEM as it sits !!! Good Luck Boys !!!
Great work enjoy watching keep up the great work
Oh I love this car! Please show us more of this car. Fix her up she deserves it&!
Thanks for another guys !
That’s a really cool Buick Electra , definitely worth restoring back to its old glory. I love the old cruisers, I’ve had a lot of them and still have my 68 Chrysler newyorker I’ve had for 26 years. Glad you guys are saving them, keep up the great work.
So sick great to see such a beautiful car cant wait to see it back to its glory
You can tell the owner loved that car. I feel really bad for him.
Beautiful car my dad had one when I was a kid
The knock may be the harmonic damper (burnt). Maybe the converter bolts ... The 445 on the air cleaner ring was the rated TQ for that motor. Awesome street engines when tuned right. They like a bit of timing 😁
Майкл как всегда молодец, посмотрел видео с удовольствием. УДАЧИ в реставрации!
A good win on the bit! Good video!
It’s beautiful; it deserves a repaint at the front; the back looks amazing.
Love the car!! My dad had a 64 Riviera a while back before he passed. As far as the engine noise, check the piston skirts. The extreme heat from running then catching fire can lead to the skirts "collapsing" it is not something you can see or feel, but will show up when you mic them. It sounds like a rod knock but happens at idle and on the accel side of snap throttle or under power. Rod knock is on the decel side of snap throttle. Piston slap.
I am working on a severely overheated 4.3 right now that had this problem. From the audio, sounds like what this engine was doing
Drove in a dup of this car, to CA in 1964, parents, 3 siblings. Trip back, engine blew in Bismark ND as we towed a popup camper out and back.
OMG I totally loveeeeee this car, can't wait to see it come back from the ashes 😊
Beautiful car! I used to have a 1964 Wildcat, I loved that car. Keep up the great videos
Dude, what a score! I bought a 69 deuce back in the mid 80's and I loved that car. It had a 430 in it and I blew it up so I dropped a 455 Wildcat in it. These cars are sleepers for the size and what a smooth ride
Id say that fire started by the carburetor because thats where most the damage was. Womder if it was just bad old fuel line. Either way you guys are doing an awesome job getting her back on the road.
Beautiful car, shame what happened to it. Look forward to seeing this restored
This video is so satisfying for me as a recliner participant. Happy for you both that you found success. Thanks.
Recliner participant! I love that! But ya great channel. I started watching back with the 911 rebuild. Watching Michael's success over the years has inspired us to start our own channel!
Bro you stole that car! It is going to be a great cruiser. Can’t wait to see it at Cars and Coffee.
This one needs to be restored. Should bring good money for more projects.
Beautiful cars,,,I had a 66 back in the 70's
15:50 i was waiting for those words! Yes! Im excited!
