I bet it was Heartbreaking for the previous owner you can tell how much he loved her, I'm so glad you have her now.
This writer has a thought; when this is done, re connect with the other owner, and let him see and drive the restored car. VIDEO is required
@@harriettanthony7352I Totally Agree 100%
I can only imagine! ☹️ We’re very glad to be able to be able to bring it back to life! Although the circumstances are sad.
@@harriettanthony7352I’d like that and hope he’s up for it 🙂
@@BudgetBuildz I appreciate you replying 👍
I hope the previous owners see this and see the car they loved so much come back together!!
My aunt had one of these when I was a kid. It was called an Electra 225 6 window sedan. This is an example of when GM made great cars and not the garbage of today.
I am so impressed with you and your dad's skill level. You are so much better than you give yourselves credit too. That Buick is going to be an awesome car when done and I hope you keep this car. It will be the pride of your collection even above the Porche which turned out amazing. You guys are awesome. One of the best channels on RUclips
This is going to be a great ride !
Good to see this Buick getting the love and TLC it deserves to at least looking original again.
The photos in the glove box survived very well. Hope you give them to the previous owner.
The wiring you assembled and checked as working would have given me nightmares ! Rock on, guys and thanks a lot !
I love that car , especially that gloss black
I did not realise how much fire had gotten inside the cabin until the end of the video when you panned up to reveal the state of the headliner. A couple of minutes more and this car would have been beyond saving. Loving this series and the incredible attention to detail, finding a complete donor car was a lucky break indeed. Can't wait to see this imposing old beast back in show condition!
Nice work, carefully done. Good show guys. I'm sure you looked at all the wireing you replaced to make sure it is pliable, not brittle and no exposed wires. That is probably what burned it the first time.
Boy, a couple of interns hangin with you guys would afford some valuable knowledge. Nothing like learning from, what I think is, the best father and son team. Outstanding!
I have to say, from 55 years experience rebuilding wrecked and burned cars, it does seem daunting at first but once you dig in, and going slowly, it will come together really well 😅! Thanks for paying attention to details (shows you care). Nice work y’all 😅😊 👏!!! Those Buicks are extremely comfortable road cars ❤
Outstanding, onward and upward.
Enjoy the series and thanks for entertaining me.
This particular episode made me think back to your 911 work. You get in there deep and get everything out. Really like your work.
Great video and fantastic project.
Of course we love the channel and what you do!
Not a big fan of youtube anymore. But ever happy to get a notification of a new BB upload.
I love how maticulous and detail oriented you and dad are . Definetly one of the best restore/rebuild teams I have ever seen . Keep up the great work gentlemen . This world needs people like you . Many happy returns...
Great job, having a donor car is a real blessing. Hope the previous owner had good car insurance that paid out well. That was a super nice car.
How awesome is this , A new budget X builds video. Taken down to metal in true B and B fashion then a respray. The car is looking awesome and look forward to see what goes with the engine. I can already see the car turning heads at the shows due to your hard work. Still the best part is working so well with dad . Awesome work. Be safe we look forward to more... 👍✌️
That hard work is paying off! Looking forward to the next episode!
Haven't caught up on your last couple of episodes, as our mother passed away last Friday.
But watching this and the previous motorhome episode really cheered me up, mate.
Thanks for being awesome
Great job … can’t wait to see it finished.
Beautiful car. I'm glad you guys are doing the nitty gritty work to keep it original... 👍
The Electra 225 was the top of the line Buick - often referred to as "The Deuce-and-a-Quarter". Fantastic, smooth-riding cars for the well-heeled executive-types. Loving this build!
Looking forward to seeing this one finished.
God bless you guys for having the patience to restore this car. I know it will be beautiful when you guys are done. You are always very meticulous with your projects. Love your vids! Keep up the good work!
Love every thing these guys do...but this one.......this one feels special.....
Absolutely awesome. So much can be saved and when it runs after a fire 🔥 it makes you more determined to get it back on the road
Great teamwork from you and your Dad,best memories you can have, and excellent work on bringing this old classic back to life.Interested to see where you will source a replacement windshield. Looking forward to episode 2 ,you did so much in this one - not to mention all the hard work editing it all.
Well done Michael and Dad ,keep smiling!
What amazes me how nice and clean and safe way the fix there cars and these do it at home . They need to get some sponsorship to help them with there projects. Thanks for sharing with us guys.
You and your Dad impress the heck out of me. I watch about 40 different utube car shows. Yours and Sleeperdude are by far my favorite. The amount of work and detail you do is incredible. Love the motorhome videos well really all of the videos. Keep putting them put I look forward to all of them.
Good rust converter, it'll be black, good etching primer so stuff will stick and stay, then under coat the hell out of everything, it'll be good.
You and Pop are doing awsome work on this old cruiser. Not many people would go to the trouble you are going to. ❤
Way to go guys! Nice to see an actual restoration - not a patina clear over!
Great work !That car is in good hands. It's a real pain staking job to restore a beautiful car such as that, but fortunately you have a great donor car so that cuts down on all the parts you need to find. Looking forward to see her all put together.
The car is in remarkable shape given the fire damage. Awesome restoration job, kudos on attention to detail with wiring/looming, seam sealing and sound deadener. I have no doubt, this boat will float.
Brother is so good I am enjoying every bit of this. I can’t wait for you to get the AC charged up and going all of it back together.
Great progress! Your channel has come so far in such a short time. You and your Dad are doing fantastic work.
I'm really envy about the fact you and old man work together so well. Keep up the good work man. Your videos are really enjoyable.
Titanic work, and the surviving photographs simply evoke a storm of feelings when you can see how much the previous owner loved her
It ashamed it had to happen but thank the world for you guys who can bring it back like it never happened. Great job can’t wait to see it finished. It needs to be in a museum as nice as it is.
That was an EPIC episode! 👍🏻 you guys have a ridiculous amount of patience but it’s paying off.
Is there nothing you and Dad can't tackle great job Michael
You have the two best projects of all that I watch. This and the GMC RV. The good part is you are doing both of them right. So glad you decided to bring both of them back to life. I love it too.
Your attention to detail is great. I am confident the car will be fantastic when you're done with it.
This was THE BEST video yet!!!!.....you can never go wrong doing the full Monty on a Buick....especially an early 60's 225....kudos to you and your Dad.....can't wait for Part 2!!!!
Well done guys this is a lot of work!
Really sweet old Buick. I love Buicks from the 60s, I had a 1967 Electra 225.
Nice video on the restoration process. I like the original hubcaps but, I would install Rivera style mags and whitewalls. You gentlemen are improving your skills with each project.
Keep the good work up buddy from your old buddies from Great Britain
Dear guys, the "my mechanics" channel shows up nice body work on a Datsun 240z. I think it could never be a mistake to study how other do their work, to improve own skills. Because why invent the wheels twice. So one can profit on the other. Don't understand me the wrong way, I do not criticize your work, quite the opposite is the case.
I think its important, to keep such cars alive and restore them the best and most original way possible, because these are iconic cars out of an era. These are important American history.
As I already posted: Great work! 👍👍👍
Nice, can’t wait for the next one .😊
Excellent work chaps.
Part 1 was really a Part 1-3, that was a ton of work!
You're definitely doing the Lord's work here by saving what was once a nice original car from simply becoming fodder for the shredder. Those Buicks were great cars, and that particular example was a true gem! Also, it's really nice to see you guys keeping an upbeat attitude, even when the inevitable hiccups occur. I'm subscribed now, so I'll be looking forward to seeing the final result!
I love to see you and your dad working together. My dad and I use to do almost the same 40 years ago. Sadly, my dad is now gone but your videos bring out the happy memories of those days. Keep the great videos coming. Best regards from Central Florida.
My favorite build so far. Love watching you and your dad restore the classics. Can't wait to see how this one turns out...!!!
U 2 R THE REAL TUBERS....KEEP IT GOING.
Good job a lot of work to save her!
You guys should look into one of those laser guns for rust removal. Definitely would speed up the process and get into crevices. Great video!
dinner and this....awesome
I do hope you enjoy! 😊
I used to own a '79 Volare. It was rust free, and the body and transmission were good. The engine needed a rebuild, but ran. Despite that, I had to junk the car. The grille, many of the trim pieces, and a lot of the plastic parts were broken. Everything was unobtainium. It took me ten years to find a used grille, and the seller wanted more than the car was worth. It was literally impossible to rebuild, even though I had a relatively solid car. It killed me to give up on it because I loved that car. This is a helluva project. I hate to see you guys strip the other one down, but I know from experience that is was absolutely necessary. You were lucky to even find a suitable parts car. I hope you guys are able to find everything for it. This is a 10 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.
Lookin' good... can't wait fer the next video on B.O.B.
Really impressed by both your hard work and dedication!!
Thank you!!
Should be a lovely car when you've finished it. Looking forward to the next episode 👍

Awesome job, well done! I love this ol Buick… can’t wait to see the final product!!
I had a 1970 225 and I can see where it got it's lines from. Ours was a 2 door- those doors were HUGE! And HEAVY! But with a 455 4 barrel in it- it FLEW! Love watching you bring this back from disaster!
Great work guys, I can’t believe you found a donor car, that was super lucky
Absolutely love watching you guys do your magic on these beautiful old cars. The Electra is gonna be amazing, can't wait for part 3! Rockin' tunes during the pressure washing sequence.
Awesome work! One suggestion on removing smoke/char - you might try magic erasers. They have a small but useful amount of scrub effect without doing too much to the paint.
Thanks for another , Brother !
Great save. Enjoy watching it come back to life.
You guys are amazing!
This is my favorite of you guys getting a car back on the road. The detailing is amazing. Keep up the hard work.
Good job guys looking a lot better
loving it. my first car was an electra 225 1968. it was fully loaded and was solid as a rock. brings back memories.
Nice to see that Buick is taken care of by such a meticulous hand and done with lots of love keep up the good work love you.
Really coming along and so glad you were able to find a donor car that REALLY had everything you needed!! Love that you get to work with your dad every day!! I'm jealous as all get out!!!
Peace and love from Parma, Michigan!!
Having watched you two do a bang up job on the Porsche and the motorhome, I have no doubt that this Buick will be just as nice.
I'm loving this rescue!
Love the way you guys tackle BIG jobs. Really like the extensive use of the boom mat as well. Nothing worse than a bunch of rattles & road noise.
Great job on the restoration. I love the details you and your Dad take to keep as much original as possible. Can't wait till the next one.
Your bright and smiling face adds a lot to your great projects, making your videos more attractive to watch. I love your projects. And your dad help is amazing. Tku!
You Guys are Great! Love each and every video! So much knowledge and Fun! Thanks for everything! God bless you guys!😊

I love your projects. And your dad help is amazing
excellent work and filming thanks
I was always told that once the metal on a car burned, it was unrepairable. You guys are definitely proving that wrong! I was amazed at how much rust the sandblaster removed. Fantastic job 💯
Oh I like this one. Great work guys. I will be watching for the next segment. Two thumbs up!
Y'all's patience to work with absolute junk is waaaaay beyond anything I've ever seen. Way to go fellas. Great programming.
Looking awesome! Good job guys
