- A few months ago I came by Mark Rober's last glitter bomb video. One thing came to my attention for the latest video was the amount of car theft in San Francisco… I was shocked to see how fast and easily these thieves just break into people's cars
So then I started to wonder if San Francisco is still a safe place to visit as a traveler?

The video is so flawed the crime rates are down because they legalized most low level crimes... And most car break ins are not even reported anymore because cops are too busy or don't care. Haha this is what happens when you rely on numbers and data without questioning who is tracking data or are crimes even being tracked and reported. If the cops don't even come anymore and don't make reports of course there won't be anymore crime statistically speaking
Well John, I guess you are the best source for information then? Probably you are traking down who is reporting and who is not and noticed the tendence of people no longer reporting the crimes, maybe you can make a video yourself with your findings.

This is true. Property crime is underreported because there is no punishment for theft under $950. So victims don’t even bother reporting it. Car rental companies at Oakland airport are telling their customers to avoid certain gas stations where cars get broken into while at the pump. The rampant unpunished shoplifting forced many retail stores to close. That along with the homeless and crazy drugged (drug use is also untreated/unpunished) makes SF dangerous. Also don’t forget SF has a poop map, where people report human poop sightings. Tread carefully.
The TSA needs to list San Francisco with a Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory. Car break-ins and theft is happening at a more frequent rate. If you are a victim of an attack by a thief or mugger, the police will not take any action unless everything taken from you was worth more than $950.
Yeah I've seen this has gotten worse in the last months, this is very sad to see how the goverment is not doing anything about this 😔
just came back from there to the UK 2 weeks ago. Had an amazing time, didn't feel un safe at all. stay out of the Tenderloin. Just treat SF as a ring doughnut. Avoid the middle of the City and you'll b absolutely fine. The media do like to hype these things up. Every city has its problems. But I definitely recommend visiting it
My GF wants to take a weekend vacation however I’m worried about our safety or having to worry about the mentally ill homeless people and having to walk through their camps while they openly use drugs and blow fentynal smoke in my face, the police out there aren’t going to do shit to help
Stop blaming the police, it is the DAs and the politics.

I agree I love SAN Francisco but so much crime and many shops closed the city is too unsafe

If someone offered me 10k to visit San Francisco I still wouldn't. I'm not into the 3rd world life style.
I've just come back from there 2 weeks ago to the UK. SF no different to any other city, has its small problems, but the Media love to hype it up. I found the city beautiful, had an amazing time, didn't feel un safe at all. Would highly recommend visiting for anyone. avoid the Tenderloin , you'll be fine. 3rd world, do me a favour. U need stop watching FOX news and some of the other Media stations
@@ForzaMilan-di2zd Really ? I'm in Frisco often also. My brother owns a bar there he can't give the place away. Been up for sale 3 yrs. And he washes shit off his doorway every morning.

@@michaelwinkelman7165 I was there 6 days. Stayed out of the Tenderloin, went pretty much everywhere else. Didn’t see any shit, saw a couple of Homeless tents, that was it. Had a great time 🤷🏼♂️
