Wow, that was incredibly enlightening. To the point, very specific and I didn't have to go to college to understand what you were talking about. Thank you!!
@@SEBDMSebDM Does not work at all. I do not see what you have in your video. This is what I am trying to say, I get what you are teaching, I just do not see how you got the file you cut and pasted. You skipped a step somewhere.
Hey I followed your method - it's great! I've got a cool shortbow attack with sound and a great gif. The only problem is that the global damage modifier - sneak 2d6 - no longer applies to it when I roll. Any idea how to work around that?
You c an out the gif in but not the sound because the }} closes off the previous tag prematurely So just [tag](gif link) is fine in the description if you don’t mind losing the sound
SEBDM yep. It’s in there but I’m not getting the sneak attack damage from that field when I use the macro in the description. As soon as I take it out, it works fine.
So Im having a problem, where the sound plays the first time i use the ability, but after i use the ability a second time it dosnt play the sound anymore. When I use a different ability, it plays the sound of the first ability and the sound of the second on top of eachother. Has anyone had this problem ? also has anyone figured a work around
I tried using this same macro on Pathfinder 2e and I dont think it works the same. It does not calculate the attack and damage roll as you show on your DND 5e sheet.
Yeah, Plus does not allow this. I do wonder if it's worth an extra $50 a year. While not terrible complicated, it might just be enough to annoy me if it doesn't work right immediately, and I don't think I could blunder through any of the coding on my own.
@@SEBDMSebDM So I upgraded to Pro. I enabled the sound api and arrow api, following your steps, but when I get to the jukebox things start to fall apart. i can't search it for sound effects, and then there's the code you point in, what is this for? From here onward I got confused.
Oh my god, it's exactly what I wanted AND it's not 30 minutes long??? My savior

this guy rocks!!! he should do one on the circle thingy that tracks initiative and group initiave
the code @3:27....when i enter that into the chat box it does nothing
By the way, brilliant vid. Just created a shortbow with GIF and sound effect :-)
You lost me on where you cut and pasted the actual sound file from. At frame time 4:23, where do I find this at? Great video thanks in advance.
@@SEBDMSebDM Just highlight the name in the Jukebox?

they got rid of A LOT of sound effect I can't even find explosions on any place roll20 uses so I will have to import my own
Is there a way to link to a .gif from your computer vs. from the internet? What would the script look like?
brand spanking new DM here is there any way to get this to work with DND beyond?
Plus membership doesn't allow API :-(
@@SEBDMSebDM No biggie - just another reason i should upgrade :-)
I did all the steps but when it comes to audio after adding the API and unocking the sounds nothing plays
Can you make a video ranking your top 3 campaigns. Thanks.

same issue here...
I don’t think it works with the global modifiers unfortunately

What if you do not have a description in the character sheet for example I am playing D6 Star Wars and the character sheet does not have description.
@@SEBDMSebDM When I do the !roll20 I get 2 menus and when I click on a track it just opens in a new chat box I can't unlock it
Im getting a Cannot read property 'substring' of undefined error
I've noticed this messes up the macros for higher level casts. Has anyone figured out a work around?
Nope! Same issue. Did you figure it out?
*Amazing :)*
Thanks Seb! Works great! But seems that I when I add the gif and/or sound for a rogue attack, it removes their sneak attack damage! Any reason why?
SEBDM yep. It’s in there but I’m not getting the sneak attack damage from that field when I use the macro in the description. As soon as I take it out, it works fine.
@@SEBDMSebDM Thanks as I happen to have a rogue in group who would love this!
hi, what is "character_id"? its the name of character? can am I change to "character_name"?

Is there a way to get this to work with just sounds and not gifs? I messed with it a bit, but i can't figure it out. Thanks.
great
Smart very smart
Is there a way of doing this but with still images rather than a GIF?
yes just use a jpg instead
@@justinyoung5843 hello, thanks but I’ve been using Foundry since February and it absolutely kicks Roll20’s ass.
The API is now only for Pro subscribers but great content in your vid thanks
Where you at Sebs???absolutely need smart skilled people to d ok what you do..message me Brother. I'm sure can get people behind it.

It’s pretty simple. You just copy and paste the macros. The APIs are definitly worth it, check out my API videos :) You just click to install them.

Jason Hauser you have to import your jukebox over first to see all your tracks.
