I'm speechless. They had to posses talent in the late 50's. There were no digital enhancing devices for vocalists. They made the music with their voices, and with their harmonies. These guys still sound great. Thank you for uploading this Gem.
This is a special record, distinguished among many from that era. Had all of the great group vocal harmony quality, but also a great lyric. Imagery (lying in bed, staring at the ceiling etc.) really draws you in. A jewel.
Why didn't I live in the fifties and sixties? I'm 'only' 18, but I would do almost everything just to live then, it seems to be so much better than these crazy times.
Great song during my high school years!! Jimmy Stephens and the guys still "have it!" I cannot understand why they weren't more successful with such a great sound and harmony!!!
I was 8 years old the first time i heard this great tune. I loved it then... and now i am 58 and i still say it's my all time fav oldie! Love it, love you guys! Thank you!
I just looove this song! I grew up hearing oldies from my parents. Jimmy Stephens voice is awesome!!!!! He still sounds good and the video is practically acapella! OMG! Unreal!
This was the final song played at the Friday night dance each week. Always loved the song. I wonder whether the schools still have dances? We sure had fun!
Well!! Just loved this..fantastic..You all look great..Crumbs just seen this was seven years ago. Hope you boys are still friends. I am still friends with three girls!!! I went to school with, Shirley, Sandy, and Brenda. We call ourselves the Golden Girls..we love one another and always laugh when we look back when we were young and carefree. Loved the music in the 60's.
This is one of my favorite group harmony records. Has all the requisite vocal chops, but seems a little more writerly and sophisticated. A marvelous achievement.
Proof postive that the 50's and 60's music was the best and to prove that point, how many of the newer artist's are re recording OUR music, 75 and still listening to it daily...channel 5 on Sirus Radio Rock on
Great harmony. Great lead vocals. A song that will live in everyones hearts once they listen to. This song and You Were Mine by The Fireflies great songs from the best of times. By the way. Who ever thought of filming that. Way to go!
They still sound so great!! "Image of A Girl" is such a beautiful song!! So sad they quit recording in the sixties.........but, if you're going to be a "one hit wonder" this is a GREAT song to have been the hit!
One of my ALL time favorites. Lost my original - ELDO 'greeney' label in Pittsburgh. Bought replacement 2yrs ago (thanks to Ebay!) light blue label. Great sound. She is on facebook but Inever looked her up. She will always be 18. It is all about the memories and they will always be special.

Why didn't I live in the fifties and sixties? I'm 'only' 18, but I would do almost everything just to live then, it seems to be so much better than these crazy times.
