One of my favorite listens.. she’s such a wonderful peaceful person ♥️🧡💛🤍💚💙 and super great material.. Love.. Compassion Joy and Equanimity … the middle way.. not getting caught in desire.. grounds for the deepest happiness possible Equanimity: The freedom or balance w experience when we’re not grasping or pushing anything away.. Duck meditation.. sit down in it.. experience it.. live it.. don’t try to control it.. not reactive resisting.. non reactive freedom.. part of our nervous system… replenishing.. Sense our connection.. wholeness and belonging... conditioning is often to be reved up not resting gives space for our natural tendency to love.. (my words) Equanimity.. not reactive.. responding w intelligence not fear… Intelligence and love .. not fear and hatred.. wired to push unpleasantness away.. Hold onto what we want.. We’re often lost in trying to control our experience.. Be receptive… open.. A sense of being at home… when we’re at home we have access to unconditional love and the sanctuary of inner peace.. The Atlantic.. the ocean that we belong too… Start naming things in our experience.. name what’s going on.. path back to equanimity… Hard to stay there.. to feel the experience.. we often driven to control.. So much fabulous information.. Papauncha (sp?) Notice the quality of pleasantness or unpleasantness .. Ex. losing a significant writing.. wowza..
So by feeling the experience, by staying with it, it will most likely feel depressing. For instance, I recently discovered I have some avoidant traits that affected me for decades. I got really depressed and and angry for not having realized it when I was much younger. I've discovered quite a handful of character defects and each time I've discovered them, it depresses me for not having realized them sooner
Oh! Thank YOU, Tara! True kindness is being kind.

+GnosisMan50 Then, it's not equanimity
Realizing our faults is the first step towards equanimity, be okay with the sadness so it can change.
