In listening from egoic to unconditional love this brought me back to my childhood of such sadness with my mother who continually punished me and tried killing me telling me I was so bad that even God wanted me dead. And hearing that woman's story and even at 76 those memories still haunt me when I believed I was not lovable and deserved punishment. So thank so much for sharing that message.

This was Sooooooooooooo right on time and directly aimed at me that it is astounding! Right down to the new relationship, the tight feeling you were experiencing to the trip to the lake (EXACTLY). No fresh home baked bread, though. My relationship actually DID go and...well...you get it. I sought out this video as four days later I'm still angry however intending to move toward forgiveness. of the sow, and told her in words and in touch
blessings of earth on the sow, and the sow
began remembering all down her thick length,
from the earthen snout all the way
through the fodder and slops to the spiritual curl of the tail,
from the hard spininess spiked out from the spine
down through the great broken heart
to the sheer blue milken dreaminess spurting and shuddering
from the fourteen teats into the fourteen mouths sucking and blowing beneath them:
the long, perfect loveliness of sow.

My opinion was clarified after reading some other blogs written by people who'd gone further down the Buddhism path than me, yet chose to abandon it.
I think the are many valuable elements to Buddhism though and I'm glad people find it of value.
I'm more into mindfulness than buddhism. I think you know what I mean.
Yes we are free to choose our own path.
