Little kid me really pissed my older brother off, because he had to watch me perform the last one because he didn't think it was possible but I did. Clearly I was right.
Older siblings usually torture the younger ones, so I'm sure it was well deserved hahah. Nice, I didn't even know about this capsule as a child.
@@TankAnSpank oh I got my licks in where I could, thankfully I was always better at video games then him. Always had a knack for finding hidden things, sometimes depending the character angle you can trick the camera and see things you shouldn't have. I just remember dash jumping by this spot and being like.. I can get up there. . Has to be something up there. . 2 hours later I was smiling, thought I found a huge secret.
It's really funny cause I thought that was the only way was the last one besides using the upgraded boots I think it's called ice climbing or something like that
Well done brother. That was insane
😂😂
Ffs i never knew about any of those except the near impossible one
Hahah it's crazy you can perform the near impossible one! I would have never thought it was possible or been able too when I first played as a child.
There are two types of people who play these games. Some obviously realize the developers intended an easier way and others will grind for hours to get a magic pixel haha
I always get it first time there. Near impossible method every time.
Same
Rest in peace to the amount of speed runs that have been killed by the wire attempt
Tell me about it, lost a 40:30 to that lol
I could never pull that off
The last one is how I always do it now. I somehow pulled it off as a kid and have done it that way ever since. I can just do it now with no trouble just because I have done so many times. 😂
All those attempts of getting the Flame Mammoth capsule as a kid helped me achieve double wall jumping. Not by skill, of course. Just sheer panicking and button mashing all the time until it stuck. 😅
That's so true, worst is when you break that first block for Flame Mammoth capsule and fall off :(
@@TankAnSpank EVERY. TIME.
You gave me an idea for another video ;)
The Flame Mammoth capsule made me rage quit more times than I am comfortable admitting..
Yeah.. that jump is something else but! bonus is you still get the arm upgrade regardless if you reach it.
And I struggle with "normal"... 😔
As long as you get the arm upgrade, that's all that matters! I didn't even know this was hidden here when I was a child.
I just found out that you need to hold into the direction you wanna go with the S. Chain (to get the arm upgrade hold left).
@@NantoShin wait, really? I didn't know that was a factor
@@CrashGordon94 I always fell down without holding the direction
Try it!
Yeah, even with the Strike Chain getting to the Capsule is a real pain in the ass. But oh man, is worth all the effort. The Buster Upgrade in X2 is amazing.
Even with the Strike Chain, I struggle to get it, but I just tough it out since I like to go Wheel Gator for my 2nd stage to keep backtracking down
I spent almost an hour making the jump without dash boots, but to no avail
It's hard to do, very similar to Iceless on Boomer Kuwangers Heart Tank.
@@TankAnSpank and On Magna Cetipede's stage trying to get the heart tank without any upgrades or weapons
Canonically, X got to the capsule without any upgrades... *on the first try*
I wasted my entire weapon energy for the strike chain.
wait I always did it in the almost impossible because I was very young and did not know where to get the boots and I was curious to know what was there 😂
Sounds like you were determined! Nice job, I didn't even know this capsule existed as a child.
@@TankAnSpank haha
I learn the trick with out any armor
HAHAHA! This takes me back, got PTSD just watching. I'm sure a lot of us are near impossible gang lol
X after snatching up his prize: _"HA HA HA HA!_ Now I'm freely allowed to wield... _TWO GUNS!_ ...at the same time. _LOOK OUT, SIGMA!_ (I'll put a stop to his plans... for good!)"
Honestly, I always found the arms upgrade in megaman x 1 to be hardest of every armor upgrade to get
only knew about the first two and the last one, never knew very hard was possible but thought about it.
the hard one seems really cool and reminds me of a few other similar tricks in the series.
the last one was the standard when I was a kid. I would always go Wheel Gator first, and get the arm upgrade
I've only ever used the first and last method to acquire the buster upgrade. To be fair it was because I could get some of the harder heart tanks in MMX1 without boss weapons and climb the wall outside Sigma stage 1 instead of using the platforms. I will admit in my late 30's after using pneumatic tools these jumps are much harder to do so I just use boss weapons or armor parts as intended.
Wowwww those last 2 methods.. Great Video, liking these method vids
Glad you like them!
That jump on VERY HARD reminds me of the jump to get the hearttank in boomerang kuwanger stage in MMX1, no level2 shotgun ice, no boomerang cutter weapon on revisit.
I couldn't figure it out after so many jump dash attempts, my five year old gave it a try, and came back in 5 minutes and did it with the boots.
The last one… stayed up for hours planning n trying that shit😂
Wait... I ever did the near impossible the whole time??
Seems like a lot of people only knew about the near impossible way
@@TankAnSpank yeah lol, most really practice the "speedrun way" using the strike chain to grab the wall
Ahh yes speed runners
As a megaman X player I will say this is the hardest frames I ever done over the years but after a while you will got used to it in every megaman X game but this is no challenge to me no more lol
Last one was insane.
I’ve done it all ways minus the ice way. The raw dog vanilla X jump requires tons of patience.
RetroAchievemebts made me do the last one. And also the Tank and Heart from Centepide Weaponless/Armorless (but those last 2 I apply to my traditional runs now)
I've done it in the nigh impossible way a few times in the past. Nowadays I use the strike chain method. Clearly, based on the overhang and how small the point of contact is, the intended way was to use the Air Dash boots, but fuck the intended way. We love to overcomplicate stuff!
Se nota que la más difícil es la última. Se sabe porque la ventana del fondo ya es de noche. Quiere decir que fueron decenas de intentos
This is the first video of yours that I see and I like your content, new sub
The last one would be me making dozens of attempts as a kid
Mega Man X2 is probably my favorite old video game
As a young man these games taught me to time everything I did. This jump took everything I learned and some serious luck, but I did it without any upgrades or weapons. To this day some of my proudest achievements are beating the X trilogy 9 ways to Sunday and completing a no hit R-Type 3 run.
I used to the Impossible all the time as a kid.
I was so pussed when I did the final one and slipped off
Near impossible is pretty easy for me and I'm assuming lots of other players since it was the only way kids would have imagined possible and we probably all got really cracked at the pixel physics.
I never knew the last one was so hard, that was my Go-To option and always hit it after 3 tries or so 😭😭
As kid was always trying the last one , was really fun , my younger brother loved this game .
I awear everytime ive booted up X2 since 2009 and been replaying it once a year with x1-8 since 2014-now, I've always got the near impossible done in 1st or 2nd try
Near Impossible is what I did as a kid (it did take tries and timing).. Never thought of the crystal one. Did them all just recently.
On the next episode of "Shit I never pulled off in 1995"
The "very hard" is harder then the impossible lol
sucsecced near impossivle level when I 16.
imma be honest the chain strike method is way harder for me to do than just dash jumping off the wall, never got the timing down for it
I never knew the last one was even possible.
Tfw you practiced the near impossible one until it worked as a kid
Damn, I was so proud of myself - turns out I only pulled off the medium difficulty.
What I do is cling to the small ledge on the right, let X drag down the side, and once he falls off, immediately air dash to the left and climb up the corridor. So basically, an easier version of the first method shown in the video
Nice!
Thanks!
Super easy is to jump to the little partition slide down an air dash over
Strike Chain is the way to go to avoid unnecessary backtracking.
Now I can feel confident to say I did the hardest version to obtain the capsule. Not bragging, just glad someone acknowledged doing that was a pain in the a🫏.
This guy knows a lot I'm also a guy plays mega man x games alot
I don’t think the developers intended for players to get it by a simple wall dash.
I not think you can run shorts on half speed though...
At least the option is not where it's on regular videos.
Why does the "Near Impossible" method also seem the least extravagant? It's just a *pixel-perfect* jump, like in _Revenge Of Shinobi_ for the Sega!
I got the last one before but it too so long that it sometimes gave me a headache on different playthroughs 😅
Huh, I've never seen the Crystal Hunter method. Interesting time to learn about it haha
You must get all the energy sources w-megaman.
I only ever did the last one lol. I can get it pretty consistently
Bomerang Kuwanger Heart without charged ice platform -> ultra hard
Actually the hard difficulty is way easier then thought it would be
The one with giga crush is useless because you need gator s weapon to get it, and with that you can already get the boots😂
Omg this is where I’m stuck. But thank you good sir, I shall try one of these methods.
I always do the Normal one since Wire Sponge is always the first stage I get out of the way first in X2, so I can use the Strike Chain to get the Arm Parts. That way, I don't have to revisit the stage after beating Overdrive Ostrich or Morph Moth since you need Spin Wheel to get the Foot and Body Armor Parts. I'll try Near Impossible next time. I know Normal even takes me a few tries to get up there, but y'know.
Mastered the near-impossible way over 25 years ago 😂
I've done the near impossible jump by accident when I was a kid and since then I can't do it lol
Amo megaman
Anyone who thinks you need to do it the last way has serious tunnel vision.
You could probably also use the charged version of flame stag to get there so there's 3 relatively easy ways the developers put in to get there.
I got a riddle for you, how do you charge a Speed Burner when the charge for the Speed Burner is in the capsule?
@@TankAnSpank haha, fair enough. Two easy ways then
I didn't even think about the crystal freeze method and the giga attack method.
Holy crap, so I did it the hard, very hard and near impossible ways...guess I was just stubborn and really particular.
Sure, maybe the first time I did it the easy way but that was boring. Plus the one thing we love about these games is replay value. Kinda helped give rise to the perfectionist speedrun mentality. So naturally we look for any other ways.
But for my part I tended to be a cheapskate about using resources. I managed the very hard second time and many times since...and once I did the near impossible way...
IDK if I still have the muscle memory. I've been slipping in recent years and can't manage metroid 1 in under an hour anymore. And I suck now at arcade street fighter 2 hyper/championship edition. Even with ghost energy drink.
Enjoy your sharpest reflexes while you got 'em.
I can’t for the life of me do it with the strike chain so I’ve always relied on getting the boots first
Near impossible is the only one I know how to do besides Easy. I can't use the chain grab well at all.
The normal attempt I somehow discovered by accident.
I've been doing the near impossible one my entire life...
every time i learn near possible this one is usuall fighting about my iqs.
I actually did the near impossible one, cause I thought it was the easiest option, to do with no backtracking, that is.
Whoa!
I knew there were 3 methods, but I didn't know about the giga crush or ice block!
I knew there was something akin to the last one, but wow that's nuts!
It's the "no tricks just fricken do it method" lol
Reminds me of iceless in Megaman X1 to get the heart tank in Boomer Kuwangers stage.
The chain is much harder than it looks
I've did the very hard and nearly impossible for years.
You say watch in half speed, but I can't because it's a short.
Bruhhhhhh i in My Life i only used and know the Near Impossible ;-;
i speedrun this game for fun, i have the power of the last method
Nice! I didn't believe it was possible, but after some attempts I figured out the sweet spot!
Oh you too?
Wow didn’t realize how many ways there are
I love this about this game though, it means there's so many ways to route the game!!
i either did the first one or the last one idr
SHOW MAN
I always use the Normal one
I relate i did this and it took 100 tries without any help lollll
Isn't there a difficulty in which you can't climb the walls because they're spiked?
This jump is almost imposible for me.
Even whit the dash, is realy hard to me, and a challenger that always cost me timw
Of course I did it the hard way.
Damn I been doing it wrong near impossible like a 100x 😂😅
It's Boomer Kuwanger Heart Tank all over again!😂
Bro, I feel like a failure 💀 im get the Easy Route (My motor coordination is rubbish)
Nearly Impossible is the only way.
Ive used all of the above methods. Lol
Am i the only one who accidentally did the last one?
Near impossible was the way I knew hahaha
I only do the near to impossible bcs im lazy😂
