With such a high tack vinyl. You will need a “slip solution” to glide the air away. Basically mix baby soup and windex 50/50. You will find this vinyl a lot easier to move around. If you have wax on the vehicle, it makes life easier.
I wrapped my car with the vinyl frog purple metallic color and I have to agree that when I needed to read the wrinkles and pull them out it was very hard to lift up the vinyl because the glue was very strong
I reached out about wrapping my M3 LR, thanks for the feedback! Now I see what you meant when you said you had a rough time on your last wrap.... but man, that car still looks awesome!
Also I’d recommend watching INOZETEK install videos as they too have high static and won’t let you install it if you don’t show them a video of you applying their film to their standards. If you haven’t figured it out already.
I always commend your courage to try new mods and wraps on your Teslas. I don’t think I would be very good at wrapping with any film! Keep up the mod videos because you do build watchers confidence in trying the mods and wraps. I am also glad when you give real honest advice when something like this wrap is very difficult.
Car really look great! You did really good man. Dont let the stress from the imperfections of the product get to you. Am sure the producer would make improvements. I want to learn to do this too with my MY and MX. I may record it and send you the videos haha. Stay blessed and thanks for all your lovely videos.
im a bit late but I experienced the same with vvivid to the point i took a break from the business cause i was so down on myself, then i tried kpmf and realized the issue was the cheap material
I went through the same emotional roller coaster of emotions with APA Emerald racing green. Thick, tacky and a pain. Also the cars paint didn't help any
That color is great! I know it’s subjective but I like it a lot. You may have hit on something with the hood. I’ll drive down to NC from MA if you want to wrap my MYP in that color (with a more easily applied wrap). 😂 Cheer up, a lot of us have had bad days/weeks with projects gone wrong. Your skill set is great and likely improved for the next project. I got initially frustrated applying the PPF to the two panels behind the rear door.😂
There are people out there with half your potential doing trash work making BIG moves and getting shot done go get it don't give up cause one car didn't come out the way you wanted
Car does look awesome in that color.. think Porsche use to have a color like that for 911s. Colored STEK PPF is that way to go if $$ is no object. On another note I Wish I had a garage to play around with my car in.
Was going to use this is exact wrap because frog is one of the few vinyls that have that color but if you mentioned its difficult to install probably should stay away from it.
You may find the "Milty Zerostat Gun" a good addition as it removes static from up to 16" away. It costs about $100 but may be a game changer as you peel the liner away.
Long story short it sounds like the vinyl is thick as hell. Guess who else has super thick vinyl? VIVID. So no you aren't wrong, you def need an extra set of hands to stretch the vinyl.
As a matter of fact, I saw one last night at the Supercharger in Temecula. It was fluorescent green and black. It was so ugly, I thought it was a Camero ICEing the Supercharger until I got close enough to plug in!
And I saw a matte peach Model 3 yesterday too with a blinged out steering wheel at the Hawthorne Supercharger. Of course the owner had on a matching peach outfit to match. So tacky.
A lot of guys say its super similar to Teckwraps super gloss and it requires you to anchor it in the middle and hinge it and install it w the difference held up, Justin pate has a video on it. Cause if you try to do the door as a whole like w 3m/Avery it doesn't seem to work as well due to the tack and thickness. Try some other pieces out w his method and it may help.
I haven’t wrapped much. But the way you describe this wrap is what Essmo super gloss material is. Thick backing, a lot of static doesn’t like to stretch. Anyone else ran into this brand or just me?
Honestly still very easy for me to apply. I professionally use all kinds of wraps and use these type of manufacturers all the time. You are possibly not applying under the right conditions and environments were most definitely the ideal place to do it in. Thats why shops are there for. Created for the right place to apply in a climate controlled area. There’s different methods to each brand to use as well. Kkvinyl is the most difficult of then all. Glue is just fine and wayy better than inozetek definitely is trash. Cheap. They private lable and use trash glue paying close to $100-$200 a roll and resale with a new label for $600+.
Just watching you attempt to do the driver rear door I can tell you it’s 100% user error. Those new ultra gloss colors with synthetic liners and caps are not to be install like the idiot proof brands like Avery and 3M. They require a larger even heat sources like an IR lamp and 2 or more people in older not to get adhesive lines. You can’t blame the vinyl if it’s the user that lacks the skill and knowledge.
This is somewhat true but those super gloss calendar films are susceptible to discoloration as they aren’t to be stretched more than 5% unlike the leading cast films which are more forgiving with up to 30% stretch. There are techniques, however, to minimize the downsides to these calendar films
@@edwarddavid-bermudez4553 5% is not true and some of these are a hybrid of cast and calendared. I just wrapped a model 3 if these materials and did not have to seam complex parts. I have zero discoloration.
Don't worry brian, you did wonderful! You are a pro wrapper and don't give up. Love your videos; don't stop.

Right on!
Same stuff as teck wrap. Is somewhat harder to install but it’s worth it for the finish
Vinyl frog wasn't even hard to install. No orange peel like most vinyl. One of my favorites.
I've wrapped around 5 vehicles is a extremely tough thing to do don't be hard on yourself man. I took a course also.
Thanks for the info. I’m going to wrap my Escalade and try it.
Also I’d recommend watching INOZETEK install videos as they too have high static and won’t let you install it if you don’t show them a video of you applying their film to their standards. If you haven’t figured it out already.
I did a full 350z with jams in VinylFrog it wasn’t that bad, tbh.
I’m too old to be starting to wrap cars anyway but glad you did the video. I’ll probably have someone else do any wrap that I put on our model Y.
So weird I wrapped a bike and liked using this stuff just took FOREVER to get
This shade of blue is so nice to look at, BMW cars have it and I’ve seen a few of them around 🤩
I always commend your courage to try new mods and wraps on your Teslas. I don’t think I would be very good at wrapping with any film!

Great wrap Brian. Keep it up!!!

that's the way that I love your channel ! congrats to be real ! thanks

I feel your ...... frustration.

Ill look into that
Reminds me of flexishield PPF wrap.. need a tack reducer to use it- once it’s down it’s done :(
Vinyl frog, inozetek and teckwrap are all the same lol. I’ve worked with all multiple times and they’re the same.
Long story short it sounds like the vinyl is thick as hell. Guess who else has super thick vinyl? VIVID. So no you aren't wrong, you def need an extra set of hands to stretch the vinyl.
Nope not the worst ever, i paid good money to have a wrap done and it is a joke…$3000.00, now having to get a lawyer involved.
when are you raising the garage height? I thought you had that in your bucket list?
It look amazing sir and I would enjoy the car before removing.
Ive wrapped with it. Works great. Probably chalk it up to inexperience
This wrap works better when the weather like 80 degrees but anything under 70 your going to have a hard time
🥺SORRY BRIAN …but don’t come unwrapped …because it’s not a permanent problem 😉😍😍😍
has your opinion changed? You have other videos using this product but didnt seem to bash it
So you didn't try what they recommended 🤔
What state u in?
Would you please tell me what MFG and Tint % is installed on this Model S. Thanks!
i ordered the color swatch over a week ago and still not answer from them
I’ve seen worse here in LA. Always Model 3’s too. lol
As a matter of fact, I saw one last night at the Supercharger in Temecula. It was fluorescent green and black. It was so ugly, I thought it was a Camero ICEing the Supercharger until I got close enough to plug in!

What's the name of the color?
Area 51 blue. 💯
Sorry that’s incorrect, it is Mercedes China Blue. 💯
Has vinyl frog responded to this video yet?
What brand film is your wrap?
if youre wanting inozetek just order teckwrap its the same material
You crushed it
Looks great! You should see Gjeebs' gender reveal video. Long story short, he now has to drive a pink model Y🤣
How much do you charge for a wrap I live in Raleigh and i drive a M3
inozetek is a complete sham, its literally made in the same factorys as the other chinese companies
complete garbage material. i honestly hope they go out of business.
@@sulayman2788 ALL henkel solvent films are garbage
Your going to have fun removing that wrap for the next one, especially after it bakes in the sun awhile!
na ik exactly what you are talking about and it was my first time wraping
Id be interested i removals of panes...1 vs 2 year's...i hate removals ugh!

The material is shrinking now and coming off. The tack is way too strong and I will be removing it very soon
Mate don’t be working next to those Tesla batteries day in day out. You must be a certain distance away.
But you did a wonderful job
Don’t try vivid if your scared of tacky vinyl as well
Sorry man. I didn't see this coming coz you sounded normal on twitter
Love the color! Way to tough it out
To me that looks amazing ill buy that wrap if it would look like that hell yeah.
Couldn’t you use baby shampoo as a solutions to lower the tac?
this color is awesome
When do you find the time for all of this wrapping?
RUclips is my life
I want that style. Different wrap lol
Tack reducer all you need
It’s a calendar material… not cast like good wrap. Everyone take notes
"Stay awesome, stay positive" 😂
Wet the floor and buy some Tack reducer, should solve your issues
it looks awesome though!
Try chrome. That should cheer you up
🤣
i think it looks great despite your challenges.

You ever get to try Teckwrap? another chinese vinyl wrap
Question Brian, how's the wrap on the car now that you've completed it?
Man, I've never seen you so... frustrated ;)
I’ll tell you what. I don’t want to see you down. You can wrap my car and do a video you’re welcome.
I own a wrap shop and work with inozetek, unfortunately it’s the same shit lol
inozetek has less tack. Vinyl frog is complete shit

what that looks good
Avery is way nicer to work with.
just stick with rapping with the records next time. someone had to say it. :)
🙏

Putting vinyl wrap on an expensive car, is like putting a mini skirt on the Queen of the UK.😜🥴
Ummm best way to change color and preserve factory paint, your comment is like eating radiation tablets
Stupid
What a dumb thing to say 😂
🤘🤘🤘
inozetek is chinese though
Inozetek lol
It’s not a Tesla Model S that’s being discussed as bad. It’s a wrap material. Your title is misleading!
look at the title not the picture
Not a fan of the color
I am
Look at how Inozotek wrap guide. It should help
Have you watched @CKWRAPS he does alot of wraps and coming out with his own ppf. Car does look good, don't give up.
