This incident exposed sgp lack of leadership and skills in the manhunt. Nobody was sent to his family home to keep an eye on the family members which should be a basic thing to do on the priority list.. How easy it was to cross border to JB. MS actually exposed a lot of the loopholes we have that existed and the person in charged was so complacent. I hope we all learned a valuable lesson since we were all to blame. I didnt even know I was at fault. Important information were kept from us, the public, you know?

Yes, in the 70s I worked at Autram Rd Gen. Hospt now is Spore Gen Hospt as an Office boy. My day job is to send letters to every wards. The day Mas Slamet warded to Wd 14 B ground flr. I was around. I also did night p/time job @ Tg Pagar at 5 am I will go get to the hospt n sleep on the long chair outside wd 14B.Few minutes later i saw Mas Selamat was help by his younger bro if not mistaken leaving the wd to the carpark located just outside wd 14B and escape. Out of curiosity I went inside the ward n noticed the officer himself was handcuffed to the patient's bed. Upon seeing what happened I quickly left the scene n go to Boyer Blk my work plce. subsequently several police officers arrived n the plce were cordoned for investigation.

bro criticized the 2 Gurkha guards but didn't give credit on later on parts of the video.They too did their part to try and find mas Selamat like any other department. And the office guy which you said the Gurkha guard had to call was protocol as he was a member of the Internal security department who was Incharge of him. If it was their fault they would have been sacked but it wasn't entirely and there were other more important factors which contributed to his escape
