Hi! :) I’m from Seixal, Setúbal and I never ever wrote any comment because I subscribed you a little time ago and I have been following your lovely content over the past few weeks and I always get cozy and speechless with your youtube channel, because I always get this calm, relaxed and comfortable feelings, just a truly peacefull place to be, which is unmatched 💆♂️. I’m always with a smile in my face while watching the videos and just thank you for choosing our country to make memories and for giving me all of this happiness feelings. I wish that you guys stay together forever and discover the remaining corners of Portugal. I hope the channel gets bigger and bigger over the time, all the best! ❤️🙌
Aww, thanks so much for your comment! Please keep them coming 😍😍😍! We are honoured to be able to give you pleasant feelings just by watching us goof around in beautiful Portugal! We will continue to do everything we can to explore Portugal from a to z!
you guys just made my day, I am from Braganca (not living there now though) and used to work over the summer on that area called Parque natural de montesinho as a forest vigilante during the sad times of forest fires (summer) and because this is a protected area, there is surveillance. The watchtower is/was close to a village called Deilão, nearby as well. Anyway, its good to finally see someone showing these hidden treasures that exist in this region of Portugal, I believe every transmontano really appreciated, and depending on how much views this video will get, i'm sure you guys will be even more welcomed there, maybe even a street with your name :D well kidding but the truth is this region really needs more promotion. You have no idea how much I keep telling my Portuguese friends and not only, there is no way a better place to eat, enjoy nature, drink wine, amazing and friendly people etc.. than here. This is not an Instagram place, if you know what i mean, the things here are really good, pure and no need of influencers to make it better what usually works the other way around but anyway, every time i decide to promote this region i only get from my friends a friendly mocking reaction, like 'yeah right bro, ofc it is... that 'thing' is in the middle of nowhere, or in a good Portuguese 'isso fica lá no cú de judas'´, or only know by the place of maes de braganca (just google it and you will get what i mean) and usually these friends are from big cities such lisbon or Porto and they usually know as much you did about this region. The true is, everything there is amazing and now I feel more confident to say it that because won't be suspicious since I am a local!! oh and because I'm here now for a short vacations, thank you very much for reminding me of O Abel, need to go there before leaving, certainly to see my old friend (the owner son, the guy that served you) but he wont mind that in fact, i go there to taste this unique 'posta á mirandesa'. I live in Czech republic and no way to have this experience anywhere else, im sure you guys can confirm it, right? that is the only place where i can have 2 or 3 different side dishes at the same time, potatoes, and more potatoes !!! thank you very much for the video, has a obvious special meaning for me, and see my self so proud while showing to my non Portuguese friends
You have to check out a little vilage called Folgosinho, in the region of Gouveia. If you go there, try the only restauraunt (i think) - O Albertino. This is a place that before the pandemic, they used to receive coach trips there just because of the food.
Emotional.... MIGUEL TORGA ,one of the most influential Portuguese poets and writers of the 20th century, called bragança “the enchanted kingdom” ( o reino encantado) , now you know why 💕 Thank you for loving our country so much!
As a Portuguese I like our tourists to come visit and then leave us be in our quiet hidden gem of a country. I would make an exception for you two and give you honorary citizenship!
Estes dois últimos vídeos de Trás-Os-Montes deixaram-me com uma vontade enorme de visitar essa região. Parabéns pela edição de vídeo. You are the best promoters of our beauty nature and the gastronomy of our Portugal. Até ao próximo video!
Thanks guys for this and all of your videos, there are not enough words to describe it. I've been learning a lot, from you guys about the beautiful country where I was born and spent half of my life. In those days we grew up in an environment that made us think that everything that was Portuguese, wasn't good enough, we were always looking towards foreign stuff, we were so blind. Being in Canada for 30+ years makes me feel and think much different from those days. All my family and I are very, very proud of our heritage. Thank you guys again and may God bless you.🇵🇹🇨🇦😍👍
ok seriously..those moments with the locais were really funny, and let me tell you honestly...i ve seen some tv shows on portuguese tv, about tourism restaurants hotels etc that are not as good and as fun as your videos here. Congrats and keep doing them.
Great video! Fantastic footage! 👍😄😍 Seems like you guys really enjoyed this trip. I never been in Trás-os-Montes, can’t wait to visit the region and go for a nice dinner at “O Abel”... 😉
Me has an emigrant I'm so happy to see the videos and see my beautiful country being showing around the world ..how amazing is it to see you trying to speak Portuguese too... Well done guys you are doing a great job promoting Portugal ❤️❤️🇵🇹🇵🇹
Hello guys, even if I live in Lisbon region, I'm from a little village closed to Bragança. Trás os Montes is a beautiful place to live and to spend some days. Gimonde village has some good restaurant and Abel is one of them. I saw that you choose good wines from my region, Flor do Tua and Valle Pradinho. Near Gimonde there are some other beautiful villages for instance, Rio de Onor for which the border between Portugal and Spain across in the middle: in portuguese, Rio de Onor, in spanish Rionor de Castilla. There a lot of interesting spot to visit in Trás os Montes. Thank you for visiting Trás os Montes. Have a good trip/holidays in Portugal.
So happy you guys are finally touching other areas of Portugal. Trás os Montes is special, but you need to visit Montalegre, Chaves, and from there cross over to Minho and Gerês National Park!! Talk about gorgeous. Need to see Ponte de Lina, Ponte da Barca, Valença, Sistelo, do not miss it.. ohh gosh.... So many beautiful places. So happy you are enjoying our beautiful little place.
Once, a long time ago, i decided to go and explore that region! Once there i decided to stay for sometime! I found a job at Miranda do Douro and enjoyed the region for 6 months and then went to Lisbon! Now i feel like i want to at least take a trip to enjoy a bit of it again! Great video as usual!
My grandfather was from Tras os Montes. I love this place, I don't go there for a long time unfortunately. I am really missing that place, the "Wonderful Kingdom" as Miguel Torga (a famous "transmontano" writer) renfered to his home place.
I absolutely love Lisbon light and energy, however my beloved north is something special. Miss it so much, thank you guys for "matar a saudade" and bring a bit of positivity at this turbulent time ❤
I love the whole country. I have been in so many places, but trás-os-montes is the best place in Portugal for me. The food, the landscape, the people, everything looks the perfect combination. When I get older I will enjoy part of my retirement there for sure. Buying a small place is not expensive, and I will live between my main city and trás-os-montes.
Is not a surprise for us, locals, the quality of our gastronomy, our landscape and mainly, as you witnessed the kindness of our people. Hope you really enjoy all the treasures of our kingdom of the northeast corner of Portugal. All the best for your Vlog adventures ✌️
That old lady was amazing and she looked great and spoke great and I mean what kind of people invites two foreigners into their house??? We are indeed unique! And they go open the chapel for you! Priceless! 😂😂😂 Invention of God!
Wow, such beauty! (And the town was lovely, too!) What a charming village like atmosphere... with warm and lovely people. And, a carnivore’s paradise, with such quality and well valued offerings. A romantic drive and walk! That house with the flowers, looked like a Disney fantasy creation. Being a senior, myself, I wonder what they do for medical? However, seeing the health and vitality, of the “villagers”. They are living testimony to living a healthy and peaceful life. The gentleman, who worked his career in Germany... then came home to spend the rest of his life, said it all! And how welcoming they all were for you! That’s what happens, when you eliminate stress, and just breath. Wonderful imagery and soundtrack. What we call... The Chamber of Commerce... in the US... will love your work. Can’t wait for the rest! Thank you, both!
Another fabulous video, thank you! I sometimes forget that you’re not native Portuguese as you have a natural affinity with the food, language and warm people. Life in Portugal suits you both so well. Must say that I loved the ‘teaser’ for the next video at the end! Very clever.
Thank you guys for what you are doing about showing the best of Portugal in your videos! Please visit more places like these ones and not only the mainstream and the trendy ones because you will be surprised with the great food, wines, landscapes, etc that you will discover. Obrigado!
You are very welcome, David! Our goal is exactly to visit places that are unknown to most people and I think we have been doing a lot of that lately. Especially our Algarve vlogs where we showed a different side to it, but we have definitely been postponing the north of Portugal for too long, but that's about to change!
Once again thank you very much! You guys are doing something that most part of the Portuguese people should do, discover the unknown but the lovely places that Portugal has. A portuguese hug from England with a lot of saudade in my heart!
Thank you guys for the great recommendation to this region. We're celebrating an anniversary so we hit the road to Douro region and lunched today at O Abel up in Braganca (Gimonde). We told them the only way we even learned of their wonderful food, wine, place to sleep it off was because of the Classy Kids - which pleased them (of course). Cheers!
Hint: When in a situation like the one at 6:53 , if you compliment the flowers, and congratulate the garden lady for the flowers, you will make a friend for life! 😅 That old lady was clearly happy that you guys chose to film close to her flowers (Amalie was even pointing at the flowers). Believe me, You guys warmed her heart a lot.
Another amazing video guys! 👌🏻 Thank you very much for showing and sharing our amazing country with the rest of the world! My best wishes and regards for both of you! 🇵🇹 🇩🇰 💪🏻
One of the best travel videos I have seen so far about Portugal. Especially in a region that is not well known, even for most Portuguese! Great stuff! Keep it on!
I had my heart set on moving to Madeira but have been thinking of late to move to the far north on the mainland of Portugal. This video is very persuasive to moving to the north.
I am sure you have done your research, but as a Portuguese girl, I have to mention the extreme difference in the climate of the choices. The island of Madeira has a very temperate climate and even in winter, it is possible to walk with a short sleeve (if we are in the lower part of the island, in the high part there maybe snow). Trás-os-Monte has a very different climate. Very hot during the summer and very cold during the winter, with frequent snow during this period. Very distinct beauties and both charming. Probably lower cost of living in Trás-os-Montes. Food and wine in my opinion ... undoubtedly Trás-os-Montes and I would extend this item to the whole of northern Portugal.
@@BARROSORQUIDEA Thanks for the info. I am aware of this. I have vacationed on Madeira twice. Yes, it is an ideal climate but the prices of homes are far too much. I will probably look closer to the sea near the Spain border. I can afford a home or apartment on Madeira but will not spend my money in a foolish way. I will have to research more. Foreigners are always taken advantage of everywhere. Not that people are dishonest but the dishonest ones always look for people who do not know the local culture and prices.
@@michaelhopkins4296 Absolutely true. I hope you find a good deal. On the north coast of Portugal, you will find many choices and very affordable prices. The areas of Caminha, Afife, or Vila Nova de Cerveira are beautiful and with beautiful beaches and small mountain areas close by. If you haven’t visited yet, I warn you that the climate in the province of Minho (northwest of Portugal), known as the greenest in Portugal, is also the wettest (at least by autumn and winter), but beautiful landscapes, excellent food and great wines and very close to Spain (Galicia) and the only national park we have in Portugal, called Peneda Gerês. Best regards and stay safe.
What we can really see in this, besides the food and the views...it’s the people. Humble and always with an open door. Again, very Northern feeling. Curious to see the Guimaraes video! 😁
"Humble and always with an open door" that's how Portuguese people used to be from North to South of the country, not as much these days, but the Amalia song says it better Numa casa portuguesa fica bem Pão e vinho sobre a mesa E se à porta humildemente bate alguém Senta-se à mesa com a gente Fica bem essa fraqueza fica bem Que o povo nunca a desmente A alegria da pobreza Está nesta grande riqueza De dar e ficar contente...
well done to you guys for exploring new regions in Portugal and bringing up great memories for the one who grew up over there. Definitely, I miss the food, nature, and the people. Also, have to say is very nice of you trying to speak Portuguese, understand the culture, and make us remind how beautiful is Portugal. Can't wait to move back after 8 years abroad :)! Keep up with the good work, definitely an entertaining channel. Well done.
I have roots from Trás os Montes Particulary "Sendim" and "Miranda do Douro". In Sendim i was able to check some Roman marks too. Glad you two enjoyed it.
I always have to watch your videos twice, so that they are longer. I really want to come...damn virus! You two have fun and looking forward to the next part.
Thank you for giving us such a great gift, Portugal is a beautifully diverse and generous country. Please don´t stop bringing us so many wonderful contents. And the prices of what you´ve spent on your meals, so cheap!! I missed Lara although... Great video again guys. I will teach you Portuguese when I get there.
Hi... caros amigos! just run your vlog to see one of you in tears of joy... some good surprises of life. What a just saw many Portuguese should see it to! Meanwhile you are inveted to come to Aveiro and maybe cry again! Best of luck and hope to meet you some day! Thank you for promoting my beautiful country. It´s a small country but have a lot to discover and taste! I am from "Beira Interior - Covilhã" you should visit one day. If you love cheese and meat you will go crazy
Guys You are awesome. Amazing video here. Thanks for not putting music on the Montesinho parts, You really got the most of it without music. Really nice editing.
Guys you gotta go to Chaves, it's a Roman city aswell which name on that time was "Aquae Flaviae".. Its also near Bragança and the food is even better (trust me) haha
this is beautiful portugal has very beautiful villages city’s weather th more special people i enjoy your videos all time para mata saúdas your making quality is better each time. 🙏🏽✌🏻
Trás-os-montes, the land of "9 months of Winter and 3 months of Hell", as the Transmontanos describe it. Hope you enjoy your stay! I personally preffer to visit the region in the wintertime, when the landscape is covered in snow and ice.
Any places that ends with "...munde" or "...monde" are from suevic origin. Germans from Schwaben, Stuttgart. We, the northern portuguese, are a little bit germans as well...
Sounds like a nice place to me. I grew up with extreme cold - 40 C and snow & ice in the winter and 30 to 43 C in the summer. Always liked the winter better
stop saying shit! Even in winter, you get 18 or 19 degrees during the day and in springs 18-22 degrees during the day. Do your homework before saying stupid things. Use to be like this 200 years ago, climate change is a reality, my friend. And in summer is hot but not hell! Very rarely snows and if it does is a few days, and Ice is in the morning and night not during the days as temperatures are high during the day.
@@andrealves4751 Sorry, André, you´re not right, at all! Climate changes are real and more often we see extreme phenomenon, but temperature wise you are so far... Bragança and is surroundings in winter time average is below 5ºC and summer time is about 22ºC (due to the weather amplitude, i.e: 40ºC (daytime), 8ºC (nightime)). So do not act as a bitter brat. I actually spend 3 months there every year, from October until mid December and know for fact that you my friend, should be there in your nice 18/19ºC apparel by then...that would be nice to see. And if 45ºC dry weather for you is not hell, well...you must be an alien. We the Transmontanos are better than that, and nicer too. So don´t be picky. PEACE!
We are honoured to be invited on this trip by the Braganca Municipal! What an amazing experience, and you wanna know the best part? We got much more epic content coming up! We just got started! 😍

Once again thank you very much! You guys are doing something that most part of the Portuguese people should do, discover the unknown but the lovely places that Portugal has. A portuguese hug from England with a lot of saudade in my heart!
Seus videos são fantasticos!! parabéns!
Cheers!
Hint:
When in a situation like the one at 6:53 , if you compliment the flowers, and congratulate the garden lady for the flowers, you will make a friend for life! 😅
That old lady was clearly happy that you guys chose to film close to her flowers (Amalie was even pointing at the flowers). Believe me, You guys warmed her heart a lot.
It’s so funny that you would say that. Because before we started filming that’s exactly what I did. 😅
O nosso País é único!...Our country is unique!...Thanks for love it.
Another amazing video guys! 👌🏻 Thank you very much for showing and sharing our amazing country with the rest of the world! My best wishes and regards for both of you! 🇵🇹 🇩🇰 💪🏻
It's so fun to listen to you trying to do our accent xD anyways, great video. Greets from Sintra, Portugal
Wow. What a beautiful place 😊❤️
@@2jorgeafonso verdade sim senhor
Amazing prices in Portugal!
What we can really see in this, besides the food and the views...it’s the people. Humble and always with an open door. Again, very Northern feeling. Curious to see the Guimaraes video! 😁
Coming soon ☺️☺️🥂
"Humble and always with an open door" that's how Portuguese people used to be from North to South of the country, not as much these days, but the Amalia song says it better
Numa casa portuguesa fica bem
Pão e vinho sobre a mesa
E se à porta humildemente bate alguém
Senta-se à mesa com a gente
Fica bem essa fraqueza fica bem
Que o povo nunca a desmente
A alegria da pobreza
Está nesta grande riqueza
De dar e ficar contente...
well done to you guys for exploring new regions in Portugal and bringing up great memories for the one who grew up over there. Well done.
I have roots from Trás os Montes
Particulary "Sendim" and "Miranda do Douro". In Sendim i was able to check some Roman marks too.

You are the best. I loved the video and learned a lot about trás os montes that I didn't know.

PEACE!
O Abel has an epic alheira and veal rib! The best I've ever eaten Portugal ... is simply indescribable!
They are telling the truth :)
"What's up Ma Boyz!" Nice! Loved this little tour. Great job as always.
