I like this approach to Chinese martial arts, respecting the roots of traditional Kung fu but adapting to modern fighting. Never limiting yourself to a rigid style and always being open minded to classical asian philosophy and strategies of other martial arts
Totally agree with you, here in Argentina most of Shaolin style schools don 't train sparring nor martial training, they only train Forms, 90% Forms, 10% Sanda/sparring. Greetings from Argentina and congrats for your work 👏👏👏🙏
What does it cost to live there? Are there places one can do work exchanges at dojos in Argentina? I love latin america and want to work there as well, are there was to do that?
A true Shaolin master right there, always trying to find technics that can help him and his disciples. Kung fu is a giant stew made from all kinds of styles, we have to find our own mix to make our own stew.

Blessings for you, brother. I think the same way you do. Each one must create their own forms, but it is very good to learn other forms first, to then be able to create an adaptable form to our physical possibilities. I do not believe in the perfect recipe, but I prefer to learn from all of them, and see what works for me personally. When I was young, I wanted to learn to fight to get revenge for those who beat me at school. But thanks to the path of life, a book came to me, and that was the beginning of my interest in learning to train my body and mind, to have a better quality of life. I continue to learn, and I hope to continue learning.
Humility is a wonderful trait 🙏🏽🌟 issue with the western philosophy (pros and cons) is the objectification of things so martial arts has become a thing...... in the East its a way of life , incorporating meditation, slow movement Katas (qi ging / chi gong / tao / dao / zen) beautiful stated. Traditional Chinese martial arts don't use the "military" rank system as other martial arts. The kwoon is like a household and operated similar to a family. The Shifu is the father and the teacher also head of the house. His wife is the mother of the house and since the mother is also a teacher, she's called the Shimu. The students are like brothers and sisters. Senior students become disciplines of the father/Shifu/teacher. Disciples are called túdì, or I just say todi to get the pronounciation correct. But the Shifu also have a Shifu, since he belongs to his Shifu's kwoon and family it forms a family tree. The Shifu's Shifu is then the grandfather of the family and is called the Shigong. Grandmaster and master and teacher are just terms used loosely, when it comes to Chinese martial arts, to try and explain rank to someone who doesn't know about the tradition. As long as your Shifu see you worthy to teach, then you are a Shifu the moment you can open your own kwoon. And in traditional Chinese martial arts you don't have belts to define a rank, however different colours sashes was introduced to group the family with the Gold Sash traditionally the highest given to the father/Shifu/teacher.
