    What strikes me, as a westerner, is the quiet, slow, gentle, determination that is needed to make a tiny coal out of wood that then becomes a strong fire. I tried this as a kid and got smoke but I was in too much a hurry and I wasn't gentle enough. Now that I'm an adult I find these qualities are more important in daily living. My wife and I are going camping again and this time... no lighter.

    Don't listen to the haters, this is a good video, if people don't want to watch they don't have to click. This is a simple and effective fire starting technique that's still used in many places by bush people.

    Primitive technology is a cool channel because it's clearly a guy with a day job who loves to be outside and is teaching himself primitive survival techniques. Then contrast it with this channel. This guy takes it up a notch with some real hunting and gathering. The big difference is this kids clearly been doing this stuff his whole life.
    Both channels are great and worth a sub!

    I'd die for the knowledge you know about living primitively.. it's sad that people are one nuclear war or pandemic away from being in this situation.. and until then is when they truly wished they watched your videos for informative purposes. Like Joe Dirt says, "Keep on, keep it on"

    I like your videos. Their content is teaching some of the basics. I wish you could write a short description, like what kind of wood to look for for a fire plow or at least what you found. Or, in the foraging video, what to look for. From your videos we can observe your technique but we don' know what to look for. Keep making the videos!

      Is teaching nothing, rather misleading people by making them believe all of this is easy and one does not need much information to be able to do it. In all these things so much can go wrong without the knowledge of the rest of the 99%.

  • @borgorodvanju854
    @borgorodvanju854 6 лет назад +1

    Hi,
    Firstly, well done!!
    I was just wondering most people including indigenous tribes get a coal on the other side of the board.
    Was this an accident or was it planned to have the coal on your pull motion instead of with the push motion?
    Looking at the board it seems you give the most pressure in the groove with the push motion (blackened wood). That's why I'm wondering.
    Cheers and keep up the good work!

    If this is not a fake, it is often true-coal is collected in the nearest part to itself. At least-I also have the same dream. This method is very subtle, I try to work it out as efficiently as possible, so that every time it turns out. But here you need to take into account all the nuances. And until that the most effektvnyy method a view ceasefire from primitive, this friction-drilling, the fire drill and skating fibers, for example cotton or nettles, or cannabis... if the author reads comments-I will be glad to any practical advice. Sincerely, Anatoly.
