Oh the wonders of bamboo... The possibilities are endless!
As a kid growing up in the mountains in Asia we had the house, furniture, eating utensils and so much more all made with bamboo. And we even use bamboo buds to put in the soup. Bamboo is the greatest!

If any of you are keen on leaving modern society,
(It's obviously fucked) then help me build a city at some sort of island or coastline. It will be based on something right out of the early 18th century and there will be no technology invented after the start of the industrial revolution there. Probably based on Nassau or some other pirate colony in the 18th century Bahamas. Sadly islands cost a lot but if we are many and we all sell our properties it should be easy to afford the island and resources. I really don't think it should be a problem to sell your property if you are going to leave modern society anyways. A couple of islands i have in mind are Matana south seas plantation, Igoigori Island, Pitcairn (pitcairn is especially interesting because people that decide to move there get a free plot to build on. Sadly there a few inhabitants but we can work around that). There are also some coastal areas that could be used. Maybe something on the southern end of New Guinea. About a thousand people is enough (maybe overkill).

I understand that Primitive technology doesn't have a monopoly on the whole silent how to stuff but could you not use 'primitive technology' in the titles? What would be wrong with 'Primitive Skills: Cup of Water'

I see where you're coming from but this is literally a primitive technology so I think the title is very fitting. If I want to see these types of videos with stone age tools craftsmen I'm going to search "primitive technology" so this title makes it way more accessible than primitive skills. I don't think he's trying to encroach on primitive techs channel, he's just calling it what it is.

TangJTL This is my first video time seeing one of his videos so if he's been getting hate for awhile that could indicate a problem. I didn't really have that issue since I usually read channel names out of habit so I know before I click it's not the Primitive Technology.
I also came here thinking it was the original "Primitive Tech" channel, maybe that's the whole point? He's banking on that to get clicks, I don't agree with it though, it's a little low but that's people for you.
When i was younger when my father and I would go into the forest in Thailand we would carry our bamboo water bottle !! The water taste really good because it was in the bamboo. I just love the smell and freshness of a bamboo.

To all the people hating. I came here accidently while watching Primitive Technology's videos. This is obviously an attempt to bring viewers to his channel BUT what's wrong with that? It's normal for someone to try and bring more people to their channel, business etc and this is not a shady / bad way of doing it. It's good content and it's related to what Primitive Technology does so having a similar title is justifiable. He's not stealing Primitive Technology since this video is clearly original content. There's nothing wrong with that it's to be expected. It's just more videos for you to watch.
Need to build a spring pole lathe with some of that bamboo! You could really speed up cutting it to length and cleaning up the edges with one!

There are SO many people salty that he used "Primitive Technology" in the title.
That is calling it what it is. His content is original, I didn't see the Primitive Technology guy having made cups out of bamboo.
So why is it "copying"? Can you stake claims on English words that define a thing?
If it were original self-made words, sure, then you can call it copying, like 'Primi Techz', and someone else used those 2 words too. That is blatant copying.
But 'Primitive Technology'? How can one person lay claim on those words.
If you used that reasoning, then only a handful of people could use the words to explain their content and would have to start using some original self-made words. Which by the way would not attract many viewers, because they are obscure and people wouldn't search for them as they don't know them.
Why so much hate? He is not copying Primitive Technology, RUclips is free for everyone...

So I was watching the original Primitive Technology's videos and I see this video. I'm sure I saw a channel called Primitve Tech... (Idk the complete name because I used mobile phone and I didn't check the channel) and it's title contains "Primitive Technology : ....." words. Of course I clicked it, I thought it's a new video from the original Primitive Technology. But what I see is an Asian guy who act exactly the same like "Primitive Technology". So I passed the video and forgot it.
And now, I do the exact same thing but the channel's name is "Primitive Skills". And I think, "Isn't that the guy who copied P.T.? Oh wait, it's a different channel...".
BUT I saw a reply that CLARIFIED THAT THIS CHANNEL'S PREVIOUS NAME WAS "PRIMITIVE TECHNOLOGY". Yes, this guy is taking advantages from other's effort. This guy saw a viral channel and made the exact same videos, he even stole the brand.
I know it takes some effort too to make these kind of videos. But he lost my respect since he intended to copy others. I mean, I would respect him if only he didn't named his channel "Primitive Technology" and made videos with the exact same style like the original "Primitive Technology".
Good video, now you need to figure out a way where your big cup will fill up by itself where you are sitting at and all you have to do is pour it into the little cups. or make a water fount ion using a home made ram pump

To the people defending the channel saying that there is nothing wrong with using the phrase "primitive technology", I agree with you. There is nothing wrong with using the term. But look at the way the title is written and the thumbnail; it is in the exact format as the original Primitive Technology videos. The uploaded is clearly using this format to confuse and lure users to this video. This is why a lot of viewers are annoyed, not because of the words used, but of the way they were used and the intent…
This video is in the exact same format as the original channel that you ripped off. It's cool that you're making videos and stuff but add your own special twist to it. Build your own community. Congrats on the video! I don't care that you copying a very successful format of another channel. People love it and for a good reason - it's interesting and it shows us how our ancestors managed to survive and push the civilization forwards. What I would like to see more is some historical and geographical context. If you manage to explain and explore how the local population thrived because of what you show us, it would definitely add to your production and educational values. Good luck!

you should try building a more reliable saw seems to be a tool you neeed more often than not.

Primitive technology is located somewhere in Australia, meanwhile this guys is located somewhere in Asia due to the fact of abundant bamboo around. I know that i am copying and pasting but it is no scam. It is really just the only way to get enough people in on it.
