Dying feathers with kool-aid is extremely simple and effective. It only really requires two steps... mixing a dye bath and heating it up. The molecules responsible for the color in kool aid bond quite well to the proteins in feathers. They'll also bond well to other natural materials.

Yes, you can. The main thing is just allowing the feathers to soak in a hot bath with those ingredients.
