I was on that server (Archimonde) on alliance. It was the most competitive PvP servers of them all and incredibly horde stacked, unlike most other servers (the vast majority of other servers were alliance stacked). I was on Alliance and we regularly crossed paths with the guild Nurfed. I have countless battles against Noktyn and his guild. That server (and the eventual migration to Mug'thol) in 2004-2007 was peak gaming. Unbelievable times. Nurfed had some members that were Blizzard staff. Shawn Fanning also played on that server as Mage, I ganked him once lol. I had the server first Kingsfall + Maexna's Fang. I quit with one of the best geared rogues the day before the first expansion came out and haven't logged in since.

As Bob Ross once told me. Happy mistake. This is the type of mystery that made me pour endless of hours into this game. Dreaming about the unknown. Wish there was more of this these days. Most of the MMO's are just too generic and perfect, which makes for a little dull experience in my honest opinion.

nurfed and afterlife were some of the first guilds to go into the Molten Core and were heavily involved with most of the testing and mechanics of the initial raid dungeons. Noktyn the warrior actually wore that necklace for a while because in classic WoW the Arms warrior had no real BiS neck slot, the Onyxia tooth pendant was the best option for a very long time

I personally believe it could have been an early way to get Sulfuras. Thunderfury gets the Windseeker shard, Sulfuras gets the Burning shard.
I think he is correct in believing that it had to do with Thunder fury. It has a smaller effect and nature damage just like the sword has.

This is a great series, and you could make so many more Nostalgic Videos. For example, you can do one for Rhok'delar/Lhok'delar, Malgen's Long Bow, etc. that were removed. You could even make videos for lost NPCS/removed NPCS/world Dragons and many more.

The guild "Nurfed" has always been a guild with a lot of blizzard employees, so im not convinced that the item just dropped for them by accident and i also think the reason he got to keep it was becuase they knew alot of blizzard guys!

Nostalrius actually has this item drop once, and then it is deleted forever so I suppose you could get it there on the new server releasing, but it's not at all the same thing as the real thing ofcourse :)

Blue was rare, many fresh 60-th were in quest greens 30-50. I still can remember my first trinket from Nefarion in Searing Gorge with words "Give them trinkets ...".

This is not the chapter of warcraft that is known to today as Draenor or Legion Warcraft, but of the times of old. Where there was no easy way and each level earned was an achievement before achievements become known.
These legends are from a World forgotten, but alive through memories. These are the tales of the WORLD Of WARCRAFT. Back when each expansions added a world, rather than some location bound content.
I remember, while looking, up items no longer in the game and such, that I had came across this and the little story about it and the only player to get it.
Kinda wonder what other things are around but only a handful have.

I found out that you can easily go outside the temple of ahn'qiraj instance by double jumping out of the open hole like thing right behind you when you walk into c'thun,s room and there is at least a few interesting things out there ^^

I wish that it was still possible, sometimes, to obtain items like this, and Anathema/Benediction, and the Corrupted Ashbringer, just to say I got it, and that I have it in my collection. But I feel it'd ruin the beauty of these kinds of items.

The look of the Talisman of binding shard and the lightning in the center of thunderfury have the same animation. Maybe the talisman was a part of thunderfury in the first place but they thought i was op to give players such a good item and then Blizzard removed it. Just some thoughts.

Caught Nurfed exploiting AV. They had alliance toons running off to the side of the Horde base and they would just stand there and let them kill them for honor. I also remember them either having a dev in the guild, or someone that was friends with a dev.
This guild is not as legendary as you think.
One guy got a mount like that that he got to keep only one ever in the game but he tried to sell his account and they took it away lol

It’s a year late, however I looked up Savorx, and found his neck slot to be empty. Was it finally taken out of the game? Or did he take it off? Considering his gear is still the game from when this video came out, I’m at a loss.

With the talisman having a "lightning ball" effect similar to Thunderfury, maybe it was supposed to be the middle piece that creates the lightning of the blade?

i did but i hope its just a Armary error (unlikely) ive been playing since BC (off and on) and it is a bit sad when you hear about how X players got the Gladiator title but no longer play, or then got atiesh but sold it when a Green was better.
also i posted my comment just as he said about then not playing any more, but kept it up for the reasons i said.
-__-. cant realy prove it but back in vannila on the eu server steamwheedle cartel i raided early molten core and that necklace did drop ......100%certain i coudent roll for it as i was a rogue so it went to someone else .
