How convenient for this video to pop up as I’m currently doing a full replay of stories 2 right now after kinda getting tucked out with sunbreak anomalies for the moment. It’s such a nice refresh to revisit this fascinating world and try out monsters I didn’t use my first play through, definitely can’t wait for what the third installment has in store for us.
I want to see a monster hunter game have a story where there's a war between riders vs hunters. Riders try to save monsters and hunters try to kill them. One to ride and befriend them. gain more monsters for you to get stronger. Another get gears like usual. And then final boss has one common enemy. That'd be epic.
@@gaijinhazuo4417 well yes, but main MH franchise where you can only control one character for hunter like usual. For rider, you’d control yourself and can switch to monster. Your gear and moves on human wont be powerful compensating your monsties. Then there may be coop mission online or AI character for exp.
@tuck295q that will never happen for main mh game stories is the spin-off and only turn based game they are not going to turn the main series into a turn based game.
@@cryssyyxx they could always convert the unique mechanics of the riders to fit the gameplay of the mainline games just as how the gameplay of Stories 2 is that of the mainline games converted into that of an RPG.
I’m gonna be honest, if title update 5 is this monster that is going to be amazing because it’s a monster that certain people know but it will be a surprise that most wouldn’t guess. I really hope that whatever title update 5 monster is a monster that we ever guessed or haven’t seen is a loooooong time.
Giving me PTSD with mentioning Oltura, tried beating it a year ago and couldn't, tried again a few days ago and still can't. The difficulty increase from most other things to fighting this was insane and stopped me wanting to play a game that I otherwise absolutely loved, which is a shame. As of now, 9/3/23 I have finally beaten it. The mission, the nightmares, they're finally over. Thank you people in the replies for your assistance
Nergigante with Arachnophobia from Shrouded Nerscylla helps a lot with this guy. And just makes sure you double attack every time he use a skill against you or your monster. For what skill he use on which phase, Google can help with that. Having items with gradual Hp recovery also helps.
It's a letdown that the rathalos partner did not power up after all the buildup to having elder dragon power during the fight. Also why did the message of the game seem to be monsters are not evil, then have a evil monster?
Oltura wasn't evil. It only wanted to complete its metamorphosis but in order to do that it had to eat a ton of rathalos. Almost all monsters are just animals living their lives, but sometimes they cause problems. The only evil monsters are fatalis and some of the other black dragons.
@@spacemegalodon5049 I know monsters are not evil but to get killed by hunters anyway just because they cause problems because they are naturally powerful. But the end was so confusing it with ratha be controlled without any explanation, and they make it sound like Oltura is evil and going to destroy the world or something. Also are all characters are there in the first game but isn't your character? Also makes the threat of fighting evil riders, but only shows up twice and one is at the end and makes no sense why they or even included.

If you can answer why ratha was suddenly turned at the end of game out of nowhere, why that same guy wanted the monster to destroy everything or what even was really going on, and why the power of the rathlos that is built up for the whole game was never used in the final battle, I'd like to know. Also what the evil riders only appear once before the end I had no contribution to the story other than one point before the end. Monsters are natural creatures of this word, and looking at the story of past monster hunter games, just shows that killing them makes the ecosystem unbalanced and even worse, except for very few including the boss of monster hunter stories 2 being one of them, which the game is all about the kinship with monsters.

Frontier vibes, Oltura legit gave me Zenith Harudomerugu vibes. I legit loved that monster so Oltura was even cooler to see.
MHST's final bosses are literally a frontier styled... Their abilities are ridiculously awesome.

It took me about 3 or 4 times to beat it. Similar to the final boss of the first game
Did you upgrade your monsters it's not that hard to beat but it does help to be abit over the level cap for the final boss

Just use Negrigante. Legit took only 3 tries . And use blast weapons
