If you own a C3 it must have side pipes, looks great and you cant beat the sound, Great looking example. extremely loud but not an issue with me. Love it.
I want this car...... they actually sold cars like this in 1970.... ( I was there ) .and many more. How much we've lost. Speed has little to do with the appeal. They are simply drop dead gorgeous.
What a beautiful Corvette. From the silver color to the chrome, inside and out! I own a 2007 C6 blade metallic silver. I would kill to have those pipes coming out of my LS2, but I don’t know if my ears would handle it for very long. Thanks for a great video.👍
Love the sound. My wife came into the room and asked what I was watching. I told her that I was listening to a car we could not afford. *****WHAT WAS THE RED LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH FOR?******
Wouldn't it sound a lot better if the side pipes had a crossover equalizer pipe? And maybe better for performance from all exhaust ports having equal pressure? Is that how it works?
Man!! Headers AND side pipes!!! No wonder this beauty is LOUD!!! Sweet Corvette!! Favorite bodystyle of mine, next to a 67!! Just a curious question. Do you ever hunt for a car that a customer may want that you don't already have on the lot??? Keep those videos coming! Oh, what happened with the Karmann Ghia that was on the lot a week or so ago??
Thats the problem with these loud under powered classic "sports cars", you find yourself running flat out against a guy in a Dodge truck that doesn't even know you're running him. You have to do LS swaps or a build on these cars be respectable on the street. I will say Maple does have some beautiful classic cars.
Beautiful car. Makes me anxious to fix the clutch in my '72 and drive it again. A buddy had a set of similar (Hooker) pipes on his back in the day. They sound great especially when accelerating, but on an interstate cruise they become really obnoxious after about an hour of the noise right in your ear. Factory side pipes are easier to live with. Careful getting in an out of the car lest you BBQ your leg LOL.
I would take it right now and run it as fast as it will go sounds mean and with that 4 speed never gets old sounds and look like it's got a 355 rear end in it the way the tack was reading
@@rustyouellette8574 my 72 doesn't have a button. The seat belt warning light takes up both positions. I disabled the light 44 years ago and haven't worried about it since. LOL
I watch when you drive 4 speeds ,..you shift way too soon,..you can stretch those gears out about 1/3rd more,...hahaha,......you would have got that Dodge truck for sure !!! Great vid today !!!
With today's vehicles you put your foot down and they go. With these old cars you have to work at it to be fast and stay on top. It was like that in the 60's and 70's and it's still like that today.
I just found a dealership in Orlando Florida.. I watch your videos all the time he has the same exact Corvette in perfect condition same engine same Color for $13,900.. 1973 barracuda..340..Motor beautiful car purple and black .$12,700.. 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible for $10,900.. 1969 Z28 Camaro..Black-on-black.$14,200... you have some competition going on my friend and it's called half the price... I couldn't believe the prices I had to go there for myself to check them out it's only an hour from my house...🔥But WoW.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't help but love the sound of this hot rod especially being a manual some lucky person owns this hot rod now God bless
Hi Moogs what cool hot rod aye😀😀😀 I bet you and your Dad would love to go cruising in a hot rod like this 1 to the beach
Hi Katarina thats a really cool hot rod aye

speaking my language brother, sidepipes are a must and manual
classic cars are the most beautiful machines, and the engine sound is just perfection
Couldn't agree more!
That Vette was begging thru the gears to get loose and haul a$$, you have a lot of discipline Nick!
I want this car...... they actually sold cars like this in 1970.... ( I was there ) .and many more. How much we've lost. Speed has little to do with the appeal. They are simply drop dead gorgeous.
I totally agree 👍🇺🇸
Looks like you had lots of fun with this one Nick! That exhaust is music to the ears!
This car brings back memories with me and my dad when this was our last project car. Thanks for the trip down memory lane ❤️❤️❤️
The sound of that thing is unbelievable. Wow
Yes finally. Thanks you Nick!!! What a beautiful, beautiful car. Reminds me of a Senior Chief's vette. Ohhhh his was convertible.
So glad the road is mostly done. The vette looks great. I like the head cam view too.
Awesome road warriors punch it on your test drives
Thanks Jonny G
Very beautiful amazing looking car beautiful colour thanks Nick have a very nice day
Thank you too
Nick was having some fun! HOOAH!
I love this corvette it is beautiful!!!
That Corvette was Very Impressive!!!
Like everything about it. Thanks Nick for showing the videos
Sounds and runs like a 350/300. That was a great engine. I had a couple and with headers and a good tune they would run with the true muscle cars.
After the 427’s we’re gone, they were useless

Well this corvette is one hell of a ride
Genuine American Sports Car.
I can feel the excitement on the video . Thank you for doing what you do Nick.
The car being a manual is the cherry on top.
Wish I was this guy driveing all these beautiful classics ❤👍❤
It's not pulling left , it just wants to PA$$ someone !
My grandfather bought a 1971 Corvette stingray silver pop top brand new
Look at that front end lift up......I drove one like that...I worked a summer at a Chevy dealer as a wash boy.......summer of 76
Oh what a perfect beauty she is!
Liked it Nick. Nothing like a silver Vette! 👍🏼
Cool Vette and the motor sounds great !!!
Sweet Vette. Very clean underneath. Possible original mile car. Just a tad too loud for this old guy.
man i love classic cars so much and i don't know which one to buy

Nice vet Nick has a good sound to it and rumble when you rev it.
Freakin awesome...can hear you coming from miles away!
When you let off throttle and coast at lower speeds several times i heard a very distinct knock.
I heard a definite knock when it drove over the camera, and it showed the underneath of the car between 6:28 and 6:34.
You let a Dodge out run you??
@Keith Reiffenstein. It had a Hemi. LOL!!!
Should knock off 5 grand for the loss lol
they always do out run chebbys

You don’t buy a 50 year old corvette to race. You buy it because it’s f&$#ing awesome.

An awesome '70 Grey over black interior Corvette with a 4-spd which should make somebody an excellent Christmas present.
A beast of a car!!! :))) America has perfected the v8, nothing else sounds as good 👌
I would take it right now and run it as fast as it will go sounds mean and with that 4 speed never gets old sounds and look like it's got a 355 rear end in it the way the tack was reading
This looks fun!!
side pipes rock
I would've taken two or three laps around the neighborhood in that car!
"Let's go for a ride!"
That was nice sharp car
That's a beautiful LT1 Corvette coupe in Cortez silver
It's not an LT1
Killer sound👍🏻
👍👍💪Andale andale como dicen los Mejicanos saludos a todos desde Uruguay Montevideo 🇺🇾🇺🇾
man I love this bloody thing
Why doesn’t the wiper door close?
What kind of MPG does one get out of one of these cars even with updated brakes/engines/and whatnot?
Getting a C3 is my dream
12 in town, 18 hiway with my 70 350/350
I wish i was in America I will work hard to get this 26k $ I would buy it without thinking and only choice proud of it
Turtle speed V8😂😂😂💨💨💨💨💨⚡️⚡️⚡️🔥🔥🔥🔥👍
Cool car
NICE CAR
Nick, you should've taken the t-tops off.
You don’t need a radio with that sound to keep you company!!!
What was the red warming light telling you? Upper left on dash.
"Fasten Seat Belts". I think it is supposed to go off after a while. Mine never did so I pulled the bulb.
@@maddpeanut7524 If you push the little button underneath the red light the light should go out

i love this stuff!
Can't believe you gave her all she had when the ram truck held tight with you.
They don't make em like they used to. I take a classic like this over a new one any day
I shoulda bought this car!
‘70 was the last anti-smog year.
Well all 68 and 69 Corvettes had smog pumps, just saying. 😀
Nice!!!
Thanks!
OMG my fave. send it over plz. :)
Bad Assssssss car!
wow that was bad ass
Where is the traffic Nick?
Plz get more 1969 ss Camaro 4 speed automatic transmission
Who needs a radio!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Agree 👍
1:40 I think the horn doesn't work.
If someone who knows what they are doing would get ahold of that quad carb that dodge truck would've been looking at the tail lights!
1972 is the the year with a key alarm in the back, not a 1970.
Alarm system became optional in 1968 and from 68 through 73 the key was in the same place, just for 72 the alarm became standard equipment.
@thud9797 Got it. I believe you. I guess I learn something new every day.
Damb, that thing sounds mean.
What's the song at 0:20
Nick Southgate , Sacrifice
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Thanks
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Didn't know this was your music, great sound.
Wow guttless 350/300 effortlessly matched by a Ram 1500, the shame. Still at price it's a decent deal, just needs about double the hp.

@@thud9797You can blueprint 350/300 it's not going too quick.
WHAT THE RACK ON THE BACK is it for your toast
Your test drive seems to be more lengthy than others. ( just a big kid at heart ) ha ha looks like a red light on the dash is on. Check driver light.
Didn't have check engine lights in 1970
Just a check seat belt reminder light. Push the button under the light and it goes off. Not a problem/issue.
Ejection seat is engaged, actually guys would latch seat belts even when not used...in those days ..try to get rid of the light.
Check Driver Light 🤣🤣
not lying. love cars almost as good as real porn!

So what 60s/70s hotrod do you drive? 🤐
